Wat een fantastisch nummer is dit toch. Zo zijn er meer prachtige samenwerkingen tussen Nederlanders en Vlamingen. Prachtige stemmen en tongval hebben Vlamingen. Ongekend mooi.

It's 2024 now and amazingly enough this music was the background to my childhood back in the day. The time has flown by but the funk gets stronger still.

this is one of those songs that touches you deeper than just emotional responses. it is a hymn for the jaded, wounded, and burned out, those looking for a direction. It reminds you there is always something glorious in you, waiting to be seen by you so that you can become the person you are supposed to be. Fly on, children. You know you can.

I was sitting on a bench listening to this song on headphones and wearing my most women-repelling outfit, composed of a loose Pink Floyd t-shirt, second hand jeans and I also have mid-long hair as a male, when at the minute 1:53 a random girl who was walking by with four other guys asked to have a photo with me! I would never wonder to use Sonic Youth to pick up!

Fucken hell. There always more to discover with this guy. He felt so deeply and gave so much musically. He made gifts from pain. Here we all are. Dancing with the beast. Thankyou Jeffrey.

"Candy Apple Grey" is without question one of the 25 or so greatest hard rock albums of all time. It's right up there with the Runes Album and Are You Experienced? Most of the greatest hard rock albums have an unsurpassed, inimitable acoustic (or traditional blues) track on them in which the band's principle songwriter pours out his, pure, undiluted soul. One which stands for all time and never loses its emotional impact. This is Mould's "Stairway To Heaven". His "The Wind Cries Mary". But much more to the point. Punk always is.
