Can I send you something to engrave?
@eigregor8318 сағат бұрын
Thanks for answering my question regarding the dot size on a galvo co2, with the 20mm head, 8x beam expander, and a 300x300 lens. I am looking at buying one of these from cloudray laser for about $4700 shipped in a 30-watt system. I was wondering if you guys have a chance to try a video where you do a photo engraving, with the water and Borax mixture, with that system for a time and photo quality comparison compared to a gantry co2 system. With my 100 watt co2 gantry, and the cloudray combo lens, I can do pretty decent photos, but they take about 45 minutes to do an 11x14 photo engraving (frame size, not image size). I'm hoping that with this setup I can greatly cut that time down and still get a decent engraving. If not, it isn't a deal breaker, since it would still greatly increase the time needed to engrave other items. The time difference for me to engrave a wooden clipboard on the gantry co2 (roughly 9x11) compared to a faux leather clipboard (of the same size), on my galvo 60 watt fiber cnc, is crazy. On the co2 gantry it takes about 45 minutes and on the galvo fiber it take about 4 minutes and 30 seconds. A other video that I would love, for those of you with a family, is how to convince your spouse to give you time for your cnc side business and how to get your kids involved. I have a 100 watt co2 gantry, a 60 watt mopa fiber laser, and a 4x4 2hp spindle cnc, but I get less than 6 hours in the garage each week to actually work on shit and have had no lock trying to get any of them involved on helping me with the process of trying to build a business.

First of, thank you for this video! I recently bought a 30w fiber laser (ComMarker B4) and also joint the LMA. Because I have another laser machine I use LightBurn. I downloaded the libraries for LightBurn but I'm not sure what to set differently for photo engraving on yellow 14kr gold? In the video I see some EzCad settings that I can't find in LightBurn. Or can I just do: - load in the base photo, assign the photo base settings, do the pass - assign the cleanup settings, do the pass - load in the photo1, assign the detail settings, do the final pass. Thanks!
@LaserEverythingКүн бұрын
As you've surmised the process is very similar in LB. If you don't know what LightBurn sub-layers are in cut settings check that out. It would save a good bit of work compared to the process you're describing above! But yes, that would work fine!
@HenkJanBaard17 сағат бұрын
@@LaserEverything Thanks, I also looked at sub-layers. But for photo engraving, I don't see the option (I checked Mode: Fill and than sub-layers are visible/selectable). So I ended up with 3 layers: 1. PhotoBase = Y/R Photo/1 Base; 2. PhotoBase (copy) = Y/R Photo/2 Cleanup; 3. Photo1 = Y/R Photo/3 Details.

Great video! Everything was clearly explained, and the tests make perfect sense. Do you have similar explanations for Freq and Pulse-width? I glanced at your videos (after subscribing), but nothing jumped out. I just bought a 60W ComMarker b4 MOPA so more information is better.

28:55 While setting up the cloudray fiber laser I have, I get to this step here and nothing happens. The red focus dot doesn't move, the rotary doesn't change, etc. I'm not sure what setting I'm missing or not.
@LaserEverything2 күн бұрын
That movement is entirely going to depend on your start position, which is dictated by where your artwork is in relation to the axis it is rotating on. If your artworks bottom starts at the center of the work area for example, it will be different than if it’s further down.

I watched this on the big screen tv. So much better than the Mac all the time. First things first, Matt, the road less traveled sign is amazing. You know why I would love it so much you should hang that up. Pronto. Secondly, I own a sawgrass and it is a pain in the bottom. I sense the ease of use with this model is everything I’ve been seeking in a sub printer. I enjoy the fact that it does not take up a lot of real estate. Thirdly, does Alex even own a heat press? Do ya Alex? I see you eyeballing Matt’s. Hands off. Great content Matt. Now I see why you’ve been MIA.

I did hang it up right after this video! lol Alex laughs but it is a good little machine for sure. High quality components but I can already tell you that I will need a bigger heat press quickly.

How do you go about pathing a shaded area? I'm working with a multicolor logo that emphasizes the 4 elements through color. Even though the engraving won't have the color, I need to get the same message across with greyscale shading... Any input would be greatly appreciated as I have been scouring the internet for a couple days now - new to the software, new to this field.

Hi mate, first of all thanks for this incredible "how-to" :) I've a M1 Pro and indeed it's really slow :/ I'm just wondering ... Would it be possible to improve the emulation of a WIndows x86 64 using a Macbook Pro i9 (so, Intel CPU) ? I'm thinking now, rather than an emulation, it would better be a virtualization, am I correct ?
@Chris92080920 сағат бұрын
exactly - that's virtualization not emulation. it would absolutely perform very well

I know this video is 2 years old (I know I'm late to the party) at this point and ppl may or may not be using it anymore (or have tried this on there own). But if the WIFI on the Jiusion is like the WIFI on my dashcam you have to make sure you are connected to the Jiusion network on your phone (which disconnects you from the internet) for the camera to make the connection and allow you to see the image on your phone.
