The furnace sound is the sound of comfort and shelter, for sure! It's not tomato, but yeah, in certain light (or screens) I can see how it would. Thanks so much!

The paint reminds me of a gorgeous color called “Living Coral”, which was Pantone’s 2019 Color of the Year!
@tracymillerdesignsКүн бұрын
@@greeneyedlady7290 It IS sort of like Living Coral, which I used a lot in decor for an accent color for several years. This color I've used is much more brown/rust, which has replaced most of the coral in my decor.

I love all of your pieces! This one is no different! I learn a lot from you too and I love the fact so much of what you do doesn’t involve EXPENSIVE tools! I just have one request, if you could put on the screen the grit of sand paper you’re using. I really love your channel! ❤
@tracymillerdesigns4 күн бұрын
Thank you SO much! Even my "expensive tools" weren't very expensive. :) I can add the grit for sure. In general, for scuff sanding and finish removal, I use 80. I'll then use 150 to smooth it out. ❤

This defiant paint is screaming "I won't! I won't, and YEW CAN'T MAKE ME!!" I've never see a piece of furniture so resistant to change -- I think it HATES you! Would a heat gun change its mind? That paint absolutely *has* to exit the premises somehow, and excess heat is a powerful threat...
@tracymillerdesigns10 күн бұрын
🤣 Yeah, that paint was on there to stay! I don't have a heat gun it's on my list!
@krisaaron577110 күн бұрын
@@tracymillerdesigns I dearly love mine -- when paint cops a 'tude I just hold the heat gun up with the business end pointed at the furniture and ask if it wants me to "fire up and get strippin'". The answer is almost always "NO!" and the paint lifts like magic.
@tracymillerdesigns10 күн бұрын
@@krisaaron5771 I've watched my favorite KZbin flippers use their heat guns, and it's mesmerizing how that paint comes up.

I don't understand why you sand & scrape to bare wood instead of just scuff sanding when you are going to paint the piece.
@tracymillerdesigns10 күн бұрын
Good point. In this case, the paint on the drawers was so thick, but uneven/partially removed that there would be no way to just sand them and have them all look the same. I did do as you said to the sides since the paint was stable and smooth.

@tracymillerdesigns11 күн бұрын
Thanks! You certainly can use white spirit. I just use hot water, dish soap, and a little scrub brush. It's essential to clean your tools right way so that product isn't drying on them.
