Great video! I enjoyed watching the whole thing...especially the action shots of the spraying. Chris, @PTXGunWorks, I know it was an invaluable experience!

I think the best training would be from Cerakote themselves the original company and not a small business !
@BransonCerakote7 күн бұрын
When we talk to people about the difference, the main thing we point out is that while the factory training is good for learning the basics (I went in 2016), it stops there. Our training, and the training at certain other shops, gives you the same techniques and understanding that you get from the factory, but with the knowledge and experience of a shop that does this as a day to day business, not just as a training facility. Think of the scenario where if Sherwin Williams was offering a painting class vs a painting company. Training for us isn't a money maker. We close the shop for the three days we train, and the money we could have made working on projects is roughly what we would have made being open. We really enjoy interacting with people in our industry, and often pick up tips and techniques from the people attending. We train to make our industry better. One final note, we are far from a small business. :)

0.8 mm rubber beading cord used in jewelry making works well for placing in the focus ring etc. They also have 0.4mm for scopes with tighter tolerances. it blocks the sand from getting in and you can blast the whole thing.

It would be nice if we could see the gun and compressor settings at different points with this series.
@BransonCerakoteАй бұрын
Our compressor settings never change. The gun settings change with every color. We do things the way Cerakote used to train, which in my opinion was a more precise way of application. It would be a super long video trying to cover gun settings. We do got over it all in our classes.

A lot of people do those things (we do too), however Cerakote is known for being a firearm coating. Also something to keep in mind, once word gets around that you are spraying Cerakote, gun folks will start showing up.

Started up with an $50k investment, made $100k profit the first yr. Stay the course. Don't get down on yourself and broaden your horizons. Started with doing AR's , Barrels, Braces, etc. Now doing everything for cars, boats, private planes, motorcycle / ATV'S..4th yr in $500k profit with myself and 1 employee. Be humble, kind, and honest with your customers. As of today, to get a full AR or pistol done, it's a 3 month lead time.
