Hey there. Salute to u from Dublin, IRE. I bought a SCULPFUN S9 a few yrs ago and I never really used it bcos I'm not that tech savvy if u know what I mean. I'm hoping this video can go a long way to helping me understand how to get the best from it bcos I'm really interested in learning how to use CNC machines going forward. i wouldn't qualify the edges as "perfect". It is cut, but the dimensional accuracy is definitely not there. So diodes don't cut transparent PET well, sadly :( Thanks for the video, it answers my question :)

Some manufacturers sell laser diode modules with 6, 8 and even 16 diodes inside - they say they combined all of them in single beam. sometimes they show a rendered pictures with their optical scheme and there is a cascade of semi-transparent prisms. And i saw tests of such modules - they are realy powerful: it cuts 20mm pine board for one path. How can it be possible?

I just got one of these "FieldBest" laser power meters. It seems to work OK so far. Supposedly you can get the readings via USB port on the back. Mine shows up as "Product: FastlaserTech COM Port" USB device 0483:5740 on /dev/ttyACM0 but unlike a simple voltmeter that simply outputs each reading, it seems this one does not speak until spoken to. Any logging software or SDK or documentation out there for these devices?
