Most have no business in those back lakes in powerboats. They tear up the grass, harass wildlife, and are dangerous to other boaters and watercraft.

It sure would be nice if you had more Content for non-boaters. I’ve been fishing the banks in Piers in the Rockport Fulton area for years. Trout and flounder numbers have been weighed down ever since the winter freeze happened a few years back. How about some areas that bank fisherman can target?

The trout fishing has been really good actually. Get some waders and wade these spots. Don’t just repeat the same ol lines because you are not catching from the bank.

Fishing from the bank, Seawalls, jetties, piers. I am an older person, and have elderly friends who are experiencing the same thing and you’re telling us to get some waders? I think you just confirmed that our fishing spots that had been very productive over many years are no longer viable. Once again, I would like to see more content for people fishing from the bank or piers. Oh, and I won’t apologize for repeating myself. I’m not making this stuff up. Other fellow fishermen are saying this and I am also echoing their voices. This is probably not the KZbin channel for me. I know that boaters, kayakers, and wade fishermen probably get some good information from you. Kudos on that. I was just hoping you could add in another element that would include the rest of us. Please forgive me if I overstepped.

@@donaldhenthorn5030 I’m just a subscriber not the person putting it out. The fishing has been good and the trout are there if you look for them. I understand your circumstances and apologize for being so forthcoming. Hire a guide with a few guys and get some questions answered. Have a good day.

Fish along the Lydia Ann channel in about waist deep water on the edge of the grass. Also you can go over on Padre Island on the packery channel under the bridge. Throw silver spoons when the tide is running. There's more spots. You can ask around and stuff.

Get a cast net. There's all kinds of bait to be caught for free. Use mud minnows and small to largeish piggy perch.

The trout slot is ridiculous in Texas and shameful. It’s for trophy purposes and not sustainability. We will be seeing plenty of 20” trout floating.

Zero of these places are Baffin Bay. Maybe call it Lower Laguna Madre or something more accurate. I understand the title says "area" but Baffin Bay and Laguna Madre are 2 different things. As I'm sure you know.

Thanks for the tips. Some friends of mine and me are gonna be there the last weekend in October. Staying at a spot thats on Salt Lake with private boat ramp, so we could kayak over to Swan Lake... But would rather not. Do you know of a closer public ramp?
