Does Roy have legal rights to his music with Kamelot? All I can think of is the legal animosity between Geoff Tate and the rest of Queensryche over who owns the songs and who is actually “Queensryche”. A similar thing, with less animosity, comes to mind regarding Marillion singer Fish and his relationship with Steve Rothery.

Tommy tried to do his best, but the tempo (and sound) of the drums put him in a rush to sings faster, not giving to him the necessary peace and emotion to interpret the song. That's my perception.

I love Kamelot since 2005. I've seen them 10 times, 6 of which with Roy Khan. I lived the split, Tommy's arrival and all the consequences, the disappointing albums (hem hem Haven...) but over time no one could have replaced Roy if not Tommy. He's a great singer and a great person, I feel Roy's absence more in the lyrics, man was a poet. I really miss Casey though, even if Alex is good and has improved a lot. To those who complain about this live, it was the end of a tour that took them up and down the Americas and Europe.

I love Tommy, I think he's an amazing singer, one of the best currently and he definitely fits Kamelot's current direction. But the songs from Roy's Era feel weird without him. They lack the raw power and grittiness that were unique to Roy's voice.

Recently came to listen a lot of Kamelot. Don't know how I went through the decades without listening this band! maybe because they are american... anyway, This version of Forever is amazing with Tommy. Always a challenge for a singer to replace the first one and live on the expectation of the loyal early fans. But he sounds amazing

Tommy is probably the best live singer I've ever seen. I've seen him several times and he's never been anything less than perfect, and it always looks like it's the easiest thing in the world for him on top of it. Amazing vocalist.

I first heard this song when i ran across the video Avantasia does of this song with Klaus Meine of the Scorpions. Tommy puts a whole new sharpened edge on this one with his voice and range.

Oh, they also sang it on Rock Imperium. I stopped listening both Edguy and Avantasia long ago, but I still consider Toby Sammet a really charismatic frontman and great vocalist. Avantasia looked more like headliners than actual ones (Judas Priest in that case).
