Can the soles of the ST1 also be converted to gripwalk?

Just picked up a gently used pair of these in 2024, same graphics and everything. I can’t wait to try them out!

That pair of skis were the worst crap I have ever bought since the initiation of turns are very unpredictable.

Using the Elan 176 GX flex for the last few weeks at a resort as a hire ski. Absolutely wonderful carving ski for first half of day on well-groomed slopes before snow becomes too chopped up in the afternoons. Noticed all of the support staff at mountain also riding Elan when the main hire ski was Salomon.

i was just wondering if it would be worth having an NTN system for ski jump so they have plenty of edge control for the landing

k2 Hellbent owner here. For those who are considering this ski as a used option, this is a great choice. But don't listen to this reviewer, Hellbent floats so much better, i've owned K2 Hellbent (you can find on my channel), and skied on powabunga, Hellbent have much more float, and more rocker than this ski. Bottom line, unarguably Powabunga skis on hard snow, way better, can't say hellbent were trash on hard snow, but difference is noticeble, even though powabunga 4mm wider in waist. Again about float, especially when you want to quickly engage your ski into turn in deep powder Hellbent does it better, as well as hellbent have zero camber, which makes you leaning back at slower speeds much easier, where's powabunga is slightly firmer, but noticeble. Leaning back is far harder, results in more exhaustion riding in powder. Sizing > hellbent claims to be 179cm but we put each ski against each other and the difference was 1.5cm longer (powabunga). Don't get me wrong powabunga is 184 indeed, it's just K2 older ski used to lower their measurements.

Great bike , rides smooth kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing

Shiros are favorite of mine, but I'd only classify them as average on groomers, unless you are referring to soft relatively warm groomers. Ice cold hard groomers you can manage on these but not at high speeds.

I just bought a pair of Twisted Sista for 1800 SEK (~170 Euros) mounted with a Marker Tour 12. I wanted the bindnings for my girlfriends skis, but I’ll most likely keep the skis and mount them with a pair of Griffons or Wardens. I just have to try these out on a deep day next winter.

I have the puzzle TBT:s and I'd say they are good, after three active seasons there is no excessive wear unlike my salomons. Pros: - long lasting - good ratio of grip and control - works well in powder as well as in park - cheap Cons: - way too heavy (181cm) - hard to butter (not that flexible)

This is just too amazing... I have a friend who is there right now, staying in the Sheridan Resort, with a ski view room and they are loving watching the Snow Grooming, mostly at night.... I will be sharing this video with them, since they were asking me to explain the grooming operation they have been watching... Speaking of small worlds, if you recognize the name NICK DECKER, he is the one who sent this video link to me earlier today!!!! Happy Holidays, and thanks for making this video.. Many of us see these things, but, do not get a behind the scenes story!!!!!!

But it’s a 108 and what little demonstration there was showed groomed hard snow when the ski is obviously for soft surface conditions. Just saying what the company releases in a brochure is not a review.
