When I first heard this I was 16, about a month from finishing high school. Before that I'd been listening to old rock and metal, then 90's mainstream punk stuff, then nu metal and all kinds of hip hop and just the kind of stuff you'd expect a teenage kid from a nowhere town to know in 2000. Neither me nor my friends had internet access at the time so we just had TV, mixtapes from friends and the occasional free CD with a magazine as our only ways of hearing new music. The radio here wasn't worth jack shit. When my buddy came into school and played Relationship of Command for me on his Discman it was like a fucking earthquake that knocked everything else into piles of rubble on the ground. I still get goosebumps listening to this. It's simply genius.

I distinctly remember when this song was released as a single every radio station that played it cut it right at 4:40 - total ruined orgasm for those of us who bought the album and were just about to rock tf out.

I happened to see them live in Prague and ended up as their interpreter as nobody spoke English back then 😅. They were so arrogant and acted like huge stars(which they already were in the US 😂). But we had no clue. We were thinking ' pricks '😂 and then they started playing.... Our jaws fell down, they were absolutely amazing.

Was riding passengers in an 18-wheeler breaking down flatbeds around 25 years ago, at 14. A jeep Cherokee blew past us, obviously pegged out. All kinds of band stickers covered the back gate. A few miles down the road, we pulled over and helped the guy who was crawling out of his vehicle that had flipped upside-down, this song blaring from it. Was an awsome real life music video for this jam 🤘
