Could someone help me out, please 🙂 I have this song, by Patrick Feeney, in a Spotify playlist but I can’t figure out the lyrics between “well, the Galway girls are pretty”__ __ __ __ __ “but the girl who means the most to me is from the County Clare”. So I looked on KZbin to see if I could understand the lyrics better if someone else was singing it but I still can’t hear what the words are. Is he mentioning other towns or cities, in Ireland? I’m from the U.S.A., I love Irish music, but I have to hum along with that part of the song because I just can’t figure out what is being sung in that short section of the song 🤷‍♀️ Thank you ahead of time.

So proud whenever I hear Johnny play and sing. His mother and my mother were first cousins. His lovely mother Nan was present with my mother the morning I was born in October 1944. Some yrs later Johnny played for our daughter Anne-Marie Irish dancing on the back of a lorry in Newcastle West, Knights of Desmond Festival I love his talent, his music and his attitude. RIP my dear cousin Johnny Donegan, your music and memory will linger on, because you were never afraid to tell the story!
