Lisolette's death hurt to watch. I was so sure she would make it, especially after what she went through beforehand, so her fall from the elevator was genuinely shocking. The fact she died similarly to the propeller guy in Titanic didn't help. At least she gave her life saving the little girl, and her cat survived.

Awful seeing her tights on fire as she jumps to her death
@gina72885 ай бұрын
Yes I remember watching it as a teenager and me and my mother both had similar tights on and my mum shouting "OMG her tights were on fire " as she jumped out that scene always stuck with me and gave me a nightmare. Watching it now I dread to think of the noise I would make if I was in her tights.

@@davidlumley4185 Definitely not me and falling so far I work in an hotel and if there's ever a fire in there and especially on the upper floors the first thing I would do is kick my heels off and peel my tights off lol it still makes me cringe seeing it today it gets me that they had just been romantic and she had on a pair of tummy control tights that didn't look to be crotchless and it didn't look like she was wearing any panties under her tights.

Interesting. Her scream was removed from this version? I wonder what else.
@gina72887 ай бұрын
Very true it's not very realistic without her screaming I am quite sure we all would scream in that situation and like she screams in the usual clips of her falling out and her screaming stops once she hits the building.

The scream is what makes that scene so dramatic.
@gina72887 ай бұрын
@@JohnWilliams-ij4gj You are right it is her screaming that makes it so dramatic Jennifer Jones appeared in another film called Angel Angel down we go, she falls even further in that film after her parachute failed to open she let out an almighty scream in that scene too which I definitely would have screamed the same as her it would be my ultimate horror falling that far also the secretary Lorrie diving out of the window with her pantyhose on fire always makes me cringe and her scream as she falls.

When 9/11 happened it made me think of this scene because of the people jumping to their deaths at the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and the buildings themselves being on fire before collapsing. With the only difference between the movie and real life was in the movie the fire was caused by faulty wiring through out the building and in real life hi-jacked planes crashing into the towers.

Dearly departed Jerry Goldsmith also did the score for Chain Reaction (which the themes on that movie Goldsmith composed have a similarity to his Executive Decision score) and the second Star Trek: The Next Generation movie First Contact in that same year of 1996.
