I have to say that's a very novel design for a windchest and much easier to maintain I should imagine!

I love this adaptation! 104 years old and it's still so good! I've always loved the Barrymore family.

Watching this video after being in person, and to see and hear all the incredibly wonderful singers and performers, I come to understand the complexity and brilliance of not only the piece by Orff, but to James and Bob for transcribing this work into another version of itself. Having seen it played before; with a ballet, symphony orchestra, and now with an organ and percussion with singers, it really was an amazing experience. It was truly a terrific feeling to be present in the audience. The soloists were exceptional in their singing as well. I left Merrill Auditorium with a feeling like that what I saw and heard was very moving. Thank you.

is there a way to get the actual organ score (transcript) for Nosferatu?

"Dear Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ Nice! Your videos should be seen by more viewers. May I repost your channel without changing anything on the clean platform named Gan Jing World? Thank you!"

I was surprised how thin the cable is that connects the console to the organ. I expected a cable like a tree trunk wired to an enormous plug! A brilliant and very interesting video, Thank you!

An amazing tour! I was surprised at all of the percussion and toy stops, which I thought were usually only found on “theatre” organs!

A glorious tour of a glorious organ. Very informative and beautifully explained and filmed. Of all the organ tours on You Tube, this is the best I've seen so far. Thank you all concerned. (From Durban, South Africa.)

Thanks for the detailed tour! I have heard this organ twice, thanks to having friends living in the Portland area. I was also supposed to be part of a TV crew that covered a rededication of this famous instrument, but got upstaged by my boss, who suddenly became a pipe organ fan :( . Finally, I knew that the Austin universal windchest design was designed to facilitate service of the instrument, but never realized the windchest was so large that you have a small apartment in there! Thanks again.

A bit of alright as we say in England (the Sortie) although the organist is quite muscular

What is the bagpipe Stop? The Samen as a vox human or separat Sets of reed pipes?
@Kotzschmar3 жыл бұрын
We checked with James, and this is what he shared: It is essentially constructed in a similar way to a Vox Humana stop. Musette is French for bagpipes, and this stop was renamed during the latest rebuild from its original, Orchestral Oboe.
