I identify with Eleven and Eddie the most because I was also viewed as a villain (by my family who viewed me as an enemy for the "crime" of being disabled). My family wanted to project the perfect image and I tainted that because I could not pretend to be perfect even if I wanted to and I did to make them proud. So they demonized me. They made sure everyone viewed me as an oppressor and they as the victims.

Eddie is what I aspire to, both as a person and as a Dungeon Master. Just...how proud he is of his players, especially Erica...it's so good. I watch the D&D scene over and over again. His little "What?! What?!" and the bow to them after...such a hero.

Why is it that Stranger Things introduces charismatic and interesting new characters only to kill them off, while refusing to take the plot armor off of any characters that have been around since season 1? The closest we got was a fake out death and some minor sub-villain who we'd assumed was dead in the first place anyway. Eddie should've lived, he's make a much fresher addition to the cast than most of our current mainstays. I thought they would've gone through with killing off Max or Steve, or hell even Johnathan, who's been reduced to a stoner archetype.

There's still some hope in my heart that he's not dead........... This character is one of a kind, I've never seen any other like him. The fact that he captured our hearts in a matter of a few episodes speaks volumes.
