I remember this trip - out of the pool up to the bus station in Southampton the over to either Woolworths to get an Airfix model for 12p or down the Salisbury road to my grandparent's place. The summer of 1972 was great. :) Thanks.

Great memories, especially the old bus station!! Not sure why you've put 47 photos at the start as I've just been through shot by shot working out where each one was taken and apart from the last shot of your (presume) house, there are only 33 pics, what happened to the rest? :)

oh my god i remember smashing down all those concrete street lights along the way..every bloody one of them...oh and digging up a coffin at the traffic light junction as the old cemetery was longer then...and look not a mcdonalds in sight ..and we were all healthy then ...

Really great to see these. Thanks for sharing (and taking them in the first place, it wasn't cheap doing that sort of thing back then!). Lots of change but so much still the same, too....
