only downside is the 'design by committee'. makes it a bit harder to explore and find stuff here, especially without punishment lol def makes for a great ebike advertisement for YT when the only climbing trails are basically on the far edges. but looks like some new ones are being cut. i could lap hammer/intervention/jumpline all day tho

That Jeffsy looking real nice!! Damn

I was fully star struck and the e-bike I was demoing that costs like 3x more was just sitting on the ground waiting for me to stop looking at that Jeffsy. both bikes felt great but I'm also still considering that Marin Rift Zone in 27.5

Did you feel super natural?

lol could not believe thats what it stood for. and the poor employees gotta say that to every person looking at one. just waiting for that pitch about their little community out in the woods where you can 'really be yourself and free'... be super natural with your friends..........

Looks nice! Did you feel the extra weight of the e-bike effect jumping?
@TeddyParker9 күн бұрын
A little bit. Obviously this is the newer, lighter one so it's a lot more in touch likely than the old one (I think a 10 pound difference). I didn't spend a ton of time on it fiddling with settings, but I could imagine slowing the rebound a touch and of course adding a touch of pressure would get you to a point where you felt more comfortable at speed or on steeper hits. I was surprised by it's general in-air performance. But on the ground when loading up it did still feel pretty typical of an e-bike. Lots of traction, good in corners, but you're still muscling the bike quite a bit and feel that vague 'resistance'. The lips are a little funky at dog park right now and I had to properly bunny hop pop to clear some jumps and the bike really fought me on those. Even with that deep e-bike preload, I just didn't get a lot of reward for my pull (maybe I should work out lol).

A dropper post makes this significantly easier. Put the Fox Transfer Dropper on mine from Jenson, about 200$ off
@TeddyParkerАй бұрын
I know my FS has a dropper. I just didn't want to invest in this hardtail (yet) and 5 dollars on Amazon is an epic price to pay to not have to carry a hex key in my pocket. I do think mountain bikine companies selling a hardtail with a rigid post are obligated to include a quick release clamp. But... Many don't so I don't know how they make that choice. I mean my commuter bike has one and doesn't even really need it. I don't do technical descents or jumps on it. But yeah, still can't complain much its a 5-10 dollar upgrade at most. Was hoping to turn this hardtail into an upgrade project next year but... With the way the economy is going maybe not :(

yeah when i got the skateboard, and gave it back to her, she said "I hate that thing." and I was like oh that's why she was like rubbing it in the dirt and grass scratching it up when we first got there 😳 apparently she was throwing it around all day but... not across the track until just then

i actually had that same seatpost clamp on my GT Aggressor Pro but in gold, lol. That was a pretty crazy looking ride, stay safe out there.
@TeddyParkerАй бұрын
i gotta say, as a random amazon product this little thing is awesome for 5 bucks lol. the design isnt just visuals as well it grabs way easier than the stock one on my commuter bike due to the large leaf design. best 5 dollars ever spent lol

ha Sleigh is usually not gnarly until you try to keep up with the locals. and can barely see through the dust. its my favorite trail there tho so it was nice to be forced to push the pace and try to race it. I was fully gassed at the bottom and they were all just laughing and talking 😰

Kudos to you Teddy for taking a little time out for that young man. You get two thumbs up! 👍👍

Hell yeah. Keep working on those hops, see if you can keep your wheel in line with your motion. Keeping it in line matters more as you add more speed. Enjoy your rides.
