@@thomaswild2957 You're missing my point. Not sure if you are a musician, but not every band has the luxury of a keyboard player. A talented keys player is an absolute blue chip in any band situation and is extremely difficult to come by, forcing bands to experiment to experiment on covers. I've been playing guitar for close to 38 years and only recently have started playing with a keyboardist, who absolutely kills this song. I have had to play key and horn parts on guitar on many tunes and it sucks because it takes away from the guitar part. My larger point was that my drummer suggested a honky tonk feel to this, but I didn't want to hit it that way since we have keys, plus I didn't think it would work. This band nailed it and proved me wrong, and you don't need keys on competently executed honky tonk IMO.
