Avenue q is the nost underated powerful musical. This musicalnis funny full of life lessons. All of the songs have such amazing meanings, like its ok to be gay, life id only bad for now ect but with a very funny spin to it. And its so powerful that im crying for a gay puppet, and a straight puppet with no money that sounds like kermit!! Love this musical, i wish i could see it in person!!

Bless you for making and posting this! I would love to go see Avenue Q in-person or rent/buy a live recording (an official one, not a crappy pirated version😅) but until I'm able to do either of those (or both) this is the next best thing and I've only seen the first two minutes but it looks like you guys did a fantastic job and even matched the original voices pretty well so yeah thanks again and good job! You are amazing! Thank you also so much for putting closed captions because I have a hearing loss so I kind of need them especially with musicals since everyone is singing and when you sing the words tend to get a bit distorted so yeah tysm for being so considerate!

I love the small gags/changes that were added to this, like the "a'ight" moment in everyone's a little bit racist, the grab them by the pussy joke, christmas eve pulling out a microphone in the more you ruv someone, etc.

I so deeply relate to the last two stories because a costume designer/technical director I've worked with in the past has been so horribly toxic they were removed from multiple productions throughout the region until finally getting stuck at our community college. This person makes comments about people's bodies all the time, but seems to just get a pass for it even though they've been formally complained about every semester I've attended. This person is also the one who has told multiple people in our program that they'll never get roles there because they have tattoos or colored hair. They also would make people dye out their colored hair just to be able to audition for certain roles to show they were "serious" about it. The amount of stories I have from this one person alone...

My high school consistently redoes the same plays with a few others mixed in occasionally. Bye Bye Birdie, Grease, Guys and Dolls, A Chorus Line, Annie, and Anything Goes were pretty common. One year we did Crazy For You and when I was in elementary school they did Barnum one year.

Yeah, high schools will typically play it pretty conservative with show choices!

@@holtharmonics You'd think that, but we basically always used the original scripts rather than any teen or junior version. I think it was more that the Principal who ran the program was used to these shows and as a small private school we couldn't afford some of the more costly shows like from the list. I would have loved to have been able to perform in a Sondheim musical.
