I’m 40 years old and I’m a math teacher. When I was 20 I paid $25 for a haircut the price now in some areas is $60, (which is outrageous)! That’s a 140% increase! The price of goods have not increased 140% in 20 years! This is greed plain and simple!

Your videos are just a perfect example of the arrogant mindset of today’s barber. All of u claim to have high end clientele and use that as leverage to charge more. Y’all barbers were once apart of the community, but today some of y’all behave worst than the instagram models. Y’all lost touch with the average hard working man. Barbers used to make the client feel like he was the star of the show, today your barber shows up flyer than u. Big chains, designer clothes, selling drugs on the side, talking on the phone while cutting u. And all of this is after waiting 40mins just for him to show up to the shop at 1pm. Then after getting my mediocre level haircut, I get charged 40-50bucks. Meanwhile the white barbershops are still only charging 20-25bucks.

Hey if this is your hustle and People Wanna Suckers For You To Cut They’re Hair While Your Banking Off Them Then More Power To You But Old School Barbers Retired With a Home and a Car And Retirement Savings and Even 401k Bons and Stocks So Not All Barbers Are Broke as You Claim and as far as Inflation Goes its Not That Bad To where You Have to Charge $40 Bucks for a Cut My Greedy Friend.

Nicca providing non used information for his sales base that has issues with reasonable cut prices. Essentially he's saying pay my price or dont show up.

It’s no mindset. Being a barber does not require extensive training. Most people can learn to hair in a few week. When I complete self cutting helmet invention, oh we, all of crooks will be at a regular 9 to 5.

I don’t agree because as a business owner its not their job to teach their employee or renter to go get a llc, run their business etc that works against their business model. Education absolutely but how to set up your own independent business falls on the individual.

Some people just like the service a certain barber provides so they keep going back to that barber, but sadly they don’t got it like that where they can tip on top of an already expensive $40-$50 haircut. But the fact that they keep going back to that same barber should be a compliment in and of itself. I myself can’t afford to tip my barber often bcuz I’m not financially stable, but I love the way my barber fades me up. Lastly, I always think about the big tip Ima give my barber once my $Bag$ is on point!

Preach, this is really good!! OK, so I’m in my mid 60s and a female, got my barbering license about two years ago, have had a hairdressing license for decades. I gotta tell you, I’ve been through some poop. Demeaned by an older male barbers that were younger than me, who felt that females should not be doing barbering. And then there’s all the young women that are cosmetologists that don’t have a barbering license. They try to make you feel like you’re less than because you got a barbering license and they don’t, lol! Now I never thought I’d be getting back into the workforce at my age, but well, I had to. And man, My love is cutting hair, so Barbering made the best sense for me. And the thing is, the young male barbers, I’m talking young enough to be my kids or Grandkids, have been the kindest and most helpful people that I’ve met in the industry. Getting into barbering was probably the best thing I could’ve done, not only from the standpoint of bringing in income, but from the standpoint of learning about life and how to treat people. Of course, mostly what we’re learning is what not to do. I don’t think I could’ve said the things you said more eloquently, thank you so much!
