I had this same theory after watching the series, and makes me wonder if the TV show will create openings for future Fallout projects, such as allowing for Institute technology to have survived post FO4, especially since the presence of the Prydwyn suggests that the Institute was destroyed at the conclusion of that story. It stands to reason that Williams’ synths, assuming that multiple were made, would develop unique character traits over time, so the next Moldaver may not refer to themselves as such, perhaps aiding other Wasteland factions with the goal of rebuilding a viable civilization while also thwarting Vault-Tec. To this end, I would like to think that one of the Williams synths convinced members of the Institute to leave with the knowledge and technology to continue synth research and manufacturing prior to its destruction in the Commonwealth. In a separate note, I am curious as To what would happen if the cold fusion reactor were paired with a GECK, since I have a memory that the GECK also used a miniature CF reactor to restore land to a pristine condition. Imagine if one were connected to a full scale facility.

I also think her being synth is likely. It makes sense with all the lore we know about her, and it would serve as a good way to tie the Institute to the tv series without being an out-of-place ass-pull. I never considered the possibility of MULTIPLE Moldavers, but that would enable her to complete her goals in her vision.
@IrishKelly-d9b4 ай бұрын
Dear Solo, I follow your train of thought. If Ms. Williams did have someone on the inside at the Institute, and then they could bring her back more than once. This could be the 3rd attempt or the 13th. Do they only have the original, or did they download her each time she failed. This would give her the actual history from before the the war till now. Each time getting her back, download the memories, and attempt to bring her back. Possibly each decade after the first synth was created. Just a thought. God's Blessings, Irish
@st.anselmsfire35474 ай бұрын
I agree that she's almost certainly a synth, but I suspect that it's more a case that Ms. Williams ended up joining the CIT, and that's how her noggin got scanned so she could carry on her work. I also suspect that she's going to be part of a plot that shows that part of the Institute survived the end of Fallout 4.

Great video! One piece of constructive criticism for your edits though: For audio, you notice the clicking to stop/pause recording from your mouse at the end of each cut. Easiest way to prevent that and have your audio track more consistent through the entirety of it would be to record a second or two of blank audio after speaking and during editing simple remove it to smooth it all out into the next audio segment. Cheers!

Your theory of her being a synth makes a lot more sense than my theory was. For some reason, I thought she was somehow a ghoul that got the benefits of a long life and regeneration, without the drawbacks of physical deterioration. As for her "Flame Mother" title, well... she's the inventor of the cold fusion, which if you don't look too closely could resemble a candle flame in a bottle, but also as a source of energy would have strong associations with fire - the kind of energy we've been using since the stone age.

Very old fashioned in our western world and maybe only practiced still in very hot places for practicality. I’m pretty sure I saw this video in my recommend a couple weeks ago but I didn’t watch it cuz I was like “no it ain’t” but I’ve just watched your video about Maldaver and instantly subscribed. I googled when we’d get fallout 5 and google said about 2030, already then I was like “what the hell. No way” With the fallout show (which is amazing and addicting as hell btw) I do think we’ll get fallout 5 or whatever they’ll call it when it comes out. It’s still insane to me seeing videos about fallout 4 lore from 7 years ago. I just started playing it like a month ago, and it does NOT feel like a game from 2015. Maybe the “next gen update” is part of that, but idk. I only bought it after the update regardless of only hearing bad things about it half my life. If you’re wondering, I love it. Even without mods idk why people hate it so much. I’ve almost played it as much as new vegas and I’m not bored or tired of it at all And I’m like 100 hours from any dlc, which I have them All so. I’m always looking forward for more cool shit in fo4. Still want fo5 tho

This was a great video. I was intrigued and listening the whole way through. I love this style of content. A lot of people call modern, overly edited, sound effect every other second editing “ADHD editing” and I get why, but I have ADHD and this is the only type of content I can fully focus on. Yelling, talking fast, loads of sound effects, constant cuts and complex transitions are overstimulating! As hell! Literally the opposite of ADHD editing. This is ADHD editing. No distractions, no music that’s the same volume as your voice or sound effects constantly. Just a person who is passionate about the same thing I am, talking about it and saying a lot of stuff, even if some people don’t like it, people rambling about my interests, the same way I do (but with a script so less all over the place haha) is the best content on KZbin. This video honestly made me really happy, and so did writing this. Cuz I don’t get to talk this much (sorry btw) about my interests usually

As someone diagnosed with ADD, (adhd without the h, functionally the same thing in almost every respect tho), i agree with all of this. It might have something to do with my medication, which makes me get too easily focused on one distraction for a long time, hours on end, but long essay-like videos (this one is rather short by my standards) are really good at holding my attention. If you need to put loads of extra sensory stuff and constant reminders to the audience to stick through to the end of your ten minute video, you are basically admiting your content isnt good enough to keep someones attention. Mr beast and other childrens youtubers like him constantly feel the need to remind you about the "crazy thing" that happens at the end of the video, almost like the entire rest of the video is just filler, and only exists to get a paycheck. Someone who makes videos just talking about things they love, clearly arent in it for the money, atleast not mostly, as they say things their audience might disagree with, they talk about niche things that a wider audience may not be interested in, but it doesnt matter because they love making the video. Its less about trying to appeal maximally to an audience, and more about expressing an interest of yours, and telling other people some of your thoughts about it! It sucks that the internet is somewhat quickly becoming more and more about maximizing profits through any means necessary, but its nice that there are *some* pockets of people who dont care only about the money :)

@Tera_B_Twilight4 ай бұрын
What does that have to do with it?
@sithdowell37884 ай бұрын
@@Tera_B_Twilight They couldn't make her as a synth before the war because they didn't have synth tech before the war. Which means they could only make a synth version of her after the war once they had developed synth tech. If they were going to make a synth of her after the war once they actually had the tech to make one, they'd either need some of her DNA (and after the war her DNA would be corrupted and all full of radiation which would make it apparently useless, hence why The Institute wanted pre-war DNA from Shaun to make their new generation realistic synths, and not wastelander DNA or even Institute member DNA). And even if that's not the case, the Institute would need a record of her in order to make a realistic and convincing synth copy of her. And they wouldn't have any reliable record of her to work from in order to make a realistic synth either.

Dude, why all this talk about Vault-Tec being the big bad? Vault-Tec wasn’t even in possession of cold fusion at the time of the show, the Enclave was. In fact the stealing of cold fusion, the most insidious Vault experiments, and the destruction of Shady Sands could have easily all been under Enclave orders (do you really believe golden rule BUD gave Hank the orders to destroy Shady Sands). In the show’s scene with the corporate meeting Cooper’s wife briefly glanced up at shadowy figures watching from above before giving her infamous speech. That said you convinced me of the synth theory, and it would absolutely be up the show runners for WestWorld ally. Also there is nothing Brotherhood of Steel ideology that prevents them from sharing the clear benefits of advanced technology with outside societies, and Project Purity is an example of that. In a speech from Max’s Elder he says “these orders come directly from the highest clerics in the Commonwealth”. This indicates that the East Coast BOS is directing the West Coast BOS chapters.

This theorie has a big problem why Moldewa don't tell the members of the institute not about cold fusion. In a Institute Terminal some of the scientist say why the don't research for cold fusion but Doctor Lee from fallout 4 just say this is only a wish which means she don't think it is possible . But maybe you right with your theorie because the moldevar synth just can be another Experiment. When you play fallout 4 far harbor Dima says the Institute made an how Synth can process emotions Dima that evolve his personality through experimente and Nick that symply gets his personalty uploaded. Maybe they Made the same Experiment with the Gen 3 Synths but must multiple of them because they want see if they change their personalty over time
@20tetsuo775 ай бұрын
The reveal of her being alive when cooper was made me automatically think she could be a synth. I was a bit confused when the cryopods were revealed, assuming this was implying that she was in one of the pods, but like you said it also doesn't make sense that she would be there if the corpos who were put themselves there had blacklisted her. I think this is a plausible theory and tbh if this entire show doesn't make use of the institute and its synth technology at any point during its run it would be a massive missed opportunity of a free creative writing hack with almost limitless possibilities, especially coming from the westworld creators.
