Londo Molari was a morally corrupt man who longed to be something more, something better. An incredibly well-written character who was believable as both a bad guy and someone who aspired to be a good guy. One of the most memorable characters of Babylon 5.

Although I have rewatched the entire B5 series numerous times and just finished doing so again. But I purposely always stop short of the final episode. But this most recent run-through I did watch it last night. After my own personal losses I've endured the last few years, it brought serious tears. I only wonder why they left Sinclair out of the portrait run at the end.

As of this posting, all but one of the characters who are gone (including Sheridan and Lyta) are played by actors who are still alive, whereas, of characters still living at the end of the episode, all but one are played by actors now gone.

This hints that they planned something for Lennier, like his sacrifice. But they did him wrong in Season 5. He would not have turned his back on Sheridan, like that. And if he succumbed to some kind of similar temptation, being of religious caste he would find a way to atone for it, even if it meant becoming some kind of shock-troop or suicide-commando.

I just got the complete set. The special effects look primitive, some of the technology is dated. We can see that the future is taking a course that will not lead us to that place. But the plot is still fresh, the acting superb, the completeness of the show still intact. One of a kind.

When my father died... my God, 23 years ago... I began having "panic attacks"... 4 or 5 a day. They would leave me weak and disoriented; I wouldn't be able to remember the name of the person to whom I was just speaking, or the topic we were discussing... after each, I was left profoundly weak and tired. My mother noticed, and worried. A few months later, I discovered what was causing them, and over the next few years they tapered off to one or two a week, one or two a month, one or two a year... it's been about 4 years since I had one. What I discovered was causing them was the adrenaline hit I was giving myself... _trying to remember something about my father_ . When I couldn't remember it perfectly or clearly, my subconscious would toss me into "fight or flight" mode... because I knew that all that was left of him was what I could remember, so I had to remember it all. Vir recounting the incident with Londo, and the sadness First portrayed after retelling it... it reminds me of what I had gone through... and informs me that I am not the only one desperate to keep loved ones alive through memory.

I've always loved this scene, but now learning the profound effect it had on the two because of the traumatic things Mira Furlan had to endure while leaving her home and county. Every cast member in this show was amazing, and that doesn't happen very often. I always feel allowful when I remember that most of the cast has passed away. It's a terrible feeling when as a child/preteen you come to love certain TV shows, movies, and the actors who played the characters, but somewhere in your brain your mind subconsciously freezes the person as they are, so that as you get into your 20s and 30s whenever you happen to see one of the actors it surprises you every time because in your mind they were supposed to stay young forever. For me, it's Bill Murray, Denzel Washington, Curt Russell, Sigourney Weaver, and Morgan Freeman.
