This new rendition of their live set is a step up and a half; I was especially in awe when they played *Out of Control.* I was lucky to witness their bizarre 2019 performance in Melbourne (AUS), which remains one of my favourite live shows. Hopefully, they could return to Australia at some point. I'll be waiting patiently to experience this all over again.

Agreed I think his voice is blown out now! He shouts his way through every song and forgets the words he can't hit the falsetto notes anymore either without the help of autotune. They are shite live now.. erasure used to put on such a good show now it's all predictable and sounds the same deep voice shout crap.. Time andy hung up the Ruby red slippers and put on his coat and his hat... totally disappointed with the neon and the new ep too its all been done they need to reinvent themselves like the pet shop boys do every album x
@mistermig54742 жыл бұрын
Disagree. Lossless audio ... You're not actually hearing the way it sounds live. Vince's music obviously doesn't come across like that live, duh. PSB are freaking dull now btw IMHO ... have u heard that AWFUL remix of Somewhere?!
@jasonbarron30472 жыл бұрын
@@mistermig5474 mate it's not a competition I absolutely adore erasure iv loved them since 87 I know what I'm talking about erasure are nothing like they was and ots obvious to anyone with ears and isn't tone deaf just how bad their music has got over the past decade. It's the same sound the production is crap and it all sounds terrible listen to it through some really good headphones listen to the s and the end of each line it's tinny. I don't like everything's the pets release either but they spend the money needed to create their amazing production on their records. Plus they reinvent themselves and move with the times. Erasure are stuck in the past playing safe using the same synth sounds. This is the beginning of the end. Bells stuff with the torsten projects was genius and new and fresh and extremely clever it's a shame it wasn't heard by a larger audience andy bell needs to go more down this route IMO

Utter bullshit , I went last night and the place was absolutely rocking it was a fantastic show , obviously things change over th3 years but the show was brilliant and judging by the packed out arena bouncing and singing there are a lot who love what they are doing . Brilliant show can’t wait to go again ,really lifted my spirits and then you read this ………
@jasonbarron30472 жыл бұрын
@@bga8606 good for you buddy, if you don't see or hear it then that's fine mate I'm not trying to bring you down I just hear things differently to you that's all. I have seen them live countless times and met them hundreds of times my friend and I know they get the place rocking but over the past decade they are playing to their hard-core fan base and only doing the hits which are dated and boring plus andy can't hit the high notes anymore without autotune he screams and shouts,his way through vkct of love who needs love drama and always it sounds horrific. Go back and watch the wild concert then watch something recent over the past 10 years and you will see what I mean. You need to listen through some good expensive headphones as i do in order to get the true sound of the live event. I'm sorry if iv upset you but.....the truth is harder than the pain inside my ears! I wish you well brother x

This new set is a hell of a level up from the already incredible 2018-19 shows. I'm currently loving the 'speedy' festival squeeze it all into 90 minutes set first seen so far at Latitude (Chems gig No. 57 for me I reckon) Cant bloody wait for the return of the full concerts. The return of the old digital robots from the early days and into the Noughties (thank you from a fan who went to your first live shows in late 1995!) Don't Think over Out of Control, Chemical Beats spliced brilliantly over and into Go...and is it me or have the Go visuals levelled up a bit too? Gone even more 3D? Wide Open...still gets me every time. As for Darkness...I was so glad I had friends to hold me up so I didnt fall over being so overcome watching it at last 💙💙💙 Just ruddy wish Da Yoot would bloody stop with the whoomp there it is shouts. IT'S SO EFFING ANNOYING!!!!! Good work on the footage. If you have most or all of it...pretty please do something bigger and longer with it. XxXxXxXxX

A recent chems fan myself, but I have SO much to say. I haven’t seen them live because I’m in America and don’t really have the means to travel (praying they perform here soon, I would literally work several years of manual labor to see these guys live, I can not wait much longer) so my only real way of seeing them and how the set evolved was hoping people uploaded it to KZbin. Somehow I am only finding this now despite looking up “chemical brothers live 2021 several times but I’m glad I found it because although this doesn’t give a full picture the things it did show absolutely BLEW my mind… first, opening with HBHG (I think?), a classic move I can not complain about, but also those new visuals? I loved jerry (my name for the green sunglasses and mouth) probably more than this creepy teeth guy (I’ll call him Bob) but I do love the new purple aesthetic and the cool falling all over the place purple figures, I wonder how most of those were even made, a lot people on strings I would assume. Then it looked like it went from that into free yourself which I wasn’t expecting, but it looked pretty awesome, and then I was expecting them to do what they have been doing with going from free yourself into chemical beats especially since the vocal started playing as usual but then it looked like it went into eve?? could just be that they used that synth for some reason there but that IS the synth from eve of destruction and for some reason the uploader didn’t show any of it if it did play there. Either way, it looks like they went from that into chemical beats which was its amazing same old self, been rocking those cool visuals for a while now, and then chemical beats into GO?!? that completely blew my mind, it seems like they just sorta mixed up the order of the beginning few so now go isn’t first, it’s a little later, but yeah the go visuals are still AWESOME, speaking of those I know there were roller skating visuals for go at some point but I can’t find much about them other than the making of video on their channel, I wonder how long they used them for before switching to this new awesome visual. Anyway, then we have star guitar, awesome as always, same with got to keep on, but then I got SUPER hype because THATS OUT OF CONTROL WHICH WASNT ON THE SET PREVIOUSLY AND IT HAS A NEW (I think) AWESOME VISUAL AND AT LEAST FOR THE PART SHOWN IN THE VIDEO ITS MASHED UP WITH DO IT AGAIN (WHICH ALSO WASNT ON THE SET PREVIOUSLY, ONE OF MY FAVORITES) IN AN AWESOME WAY, that was mega hype, especially considering they used to “I seen the funk electric” Sample that was originally in do it again as opposed to the “let’s turn this thing electric” in the final version of do it again, and that’s SUPER HYPE and it fits with out of control SO well, but then I’m not completely sure what happened but it cuts to the synth I recognize from the end of their don’t fight control in glatsonbury 2007… I know they probably reused the synth to transition out of out of control or something but the idea that one of my obscure absolute favorites that I know very little about tbh might come back to their current set after so many years is INSANE, but that’s not the only hype part because THAT VISUAL?!?! as you mentioned, the awesome little baby george and mildreds? the robots in general have probably always been my favorite visual/set piece in the case of George and Mildred, but especially the one with them walking towards the screen, probably because it is the visual accompanying probably my favorite couple minutes of music ever, that being under the influence from their come with us tour 2002 (that era of the tour in general is my favorite. literally almost every song in there’s best performance is in that show, including HBHG and UTI. they should bring more tracks from that era back, like music:response, come with us, and it began in afrika) anyway I got SO side tracked there, the robot visual is very cool, I love it so much, I couldn’t be happier that it is back. Then saturate, just like it’s regular old self, I love, and then a new song to the set and new song in general darkness, which I absolutely LOVE and love the visual for, I feel like that track specifically is amazing live. and then it looks like hold tight london/intermission into no geography given the vocals, but nope goes into something else I think, then classic don’t think (I think? haven’t listened to that one in full yet) but then GEORGE AND MILDRED JUMPSCARE the two loves of my life show up and they’re as awesome as ever. i didn’t know how to feel about them showing up for EBW 6 as opposed to under the influence and under the influence not having its own dedicated moment, instead just being sorta mashed in with dig your own hole (I absolutely love that bit by the way, the transition from EBW 6 into DYOH when the synths start playing and then the UTI drums kick in gets me SO SO hype every single time, incredible moment, but either way I’m glad UTI has its own dedicated bit now, although the synth with this one isn’t my favorite, that title would of course go to the synth used for UTI during their 2002 come with us tour, then second favorite probably just regular album UTI, and from there I don’t have enough samples to know and rank the rest of them lol. This synth here is still great, just not my favorite UTI synth, but the synth isn’t what makes UTI a top 3 chems track for me anyways, it’s the drums, and those are still there. And amazingly, they’re also there for DYOH which shows up next, and I’m SO glad they kept that in, DYOH is probably too 5 tracks from me and it’s never been in their set before 2018-19 (to my knowledge, at least from all research I have done) so it’s super cool to see it and having it paired with UTIs drums and sometimes get up on it like this’ vocals is LITERALLY a match made in heaven. then wide open (again I think, I know I should know this but I’m slowly listening to their albums in full and waiting until I listen to the album to listen to each song so as much as I want to listen to it I’m going to wait until I have an hour free so I can just listen to the whole album and have it be a surprise) which is awesome and then amazing galvanize, still great as it was before, but then we get to my favorite quick rapid fire absolute banger segment. c-h-e-m-i-c-a-l, underrated banger. leave home? literally amazing, still don’t know where that visual is from but I love it. then, the classic that literally started it all, song to the siren, another one of my favorites. the power of that vocal sample is genuinely INSANE; their STTS in the 2002 come with us tour is literally NUTTY, it’s so freaking amazing, and then that INTO the previously discussed UTI, it literally gives me whiplash every time. and then, of course, finally block rocking beats. I don’t know how I feel about them closing with this one; I see how it fits, but at the same time, I feel like there’s other, better finisher songs, and I don’t just mean private psychedelic reel, although that is a great finisher (they’ve just used it forever) but maybe something like the sunshine underground or got glint (which I need to see back in the set ASAP). But also, NEW/SLIGHTLY UPDATED BLOCK ROCKIN BEATS VISUALS?!? they’re mostly the same although they sometimes appear to be a little red, not sure if that’s intentional, but then also the overly dramatic black and white silhouettes make a return for the millionth time in their like third song?? but now they’re CROSSING OVER WITH THE CRICKETS?!? never in my life would I have thought i would have seen a crossover between different chemical brothers visuals, but here we are, the music:response/out of control/block rockin beats silhouette guys are being scared by the EBW 6/don’t fight control/believe bugs?!?! and that wasn’t the only new visual, it looked like… some new industrial looking black and white shots. I think this could be one of two things: either it’s a sort of callback to the old mostly static block rockin beats visuals with big walls with industrial trippy patterns, OR, it’s for another song… what other song had partially industrial visuals and maybe even sound when it was present in the set? oh, that’s right, ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE TRACKS BELIEVE!!! Believe us genuinely so special to me, it’s the second chems song i heard, and it’s the one that I think REALLY drew me in. it’s one of my favorites, and it had my absolute favorite music video ever, and it hasn’t really been in the set for a good bit… so the slightest bit of me wanted to believe that maybe, just maybe, it would go into believe… but then the video cuts off. In all honesty I know it’s almost definitely the first option and it did not transition into believe, but the fact that I don’t know and that it’s a possibility is exciting. This whole thing is obviously awesome to see because I get to kinda keep up a little with how the set is evolving, but it really sucks that most of the transitions are cut out. The transitions are the parts that get me the most hype and usually blow my mind the most, so it sucks that we don’t really get to see them here. Anyways, this is probably the longest KZbin comment ever, MAJOR props if you for some reason read it all, I just spent an hour typing this because I absolutely love the chemical brothers and I love talking about them, hope to get a response from someone equally passionate about them someday
