I've just patched the new version 2 minutes ago, its easier now and some slight performance fixes, would love to know what processor and videocard you're running if you have the time, because you haven't mentioned anything about performance so it doesn't sound like a problem for your machine

@@SYNTHALGIA Ok, cool,I'm gonna checkit out. No, I don't have any issues running the game. It runs fine. I have an Intel Celeron(R) G5905 cpu and a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti gpu. Not the most high powered setup, but I can play the majority of games that I've tried.

The current demo is from February, you can download the OLD demo by pressing the "Download Demo" button on the right sidebar on the game's Steam page, just above the languages and included features panel. However I don't recommend playing the old demo, its just up for courtesy. To understand how to play and enjoy you'll need to read the text instructions on the old demo. There will be a NEW demo up in 1-2 weeks with tutorial videos and proper introduction that is closer to the gameplay you see in this video - and will represent the gameplay of the Early Access release version.
