Is delivery driving for flower shops a thing? I am not a florist, but I won a cargo van. I would love to specialize in delivering flowers for florists. Do you think that could be profitable? Do florists typically do their own transporting, or do you think that some could use the help?
@realflowerbusiness13 күн бұрын
Florists do usually have a delivery driver for their shop, but you might have a unique idea here if there are multiple shops in your area who need a reliable driver! I know some use Door Dash now as well, so things change....it may be worth asking a florist or two in town what they think of your idea. Real feedback if so helpful in shaping your offer!

If I was to ribbon the stems, how do you stop the water from the damp paper towel from wetting the ribbon?
@realflowerbusiness4 ай бұрын
If you use ribbon it will definitely get wet, just like the flowers! So I'd skip the ribbon or add it later...or use a ribbon that will look OK after it gets wet and doesn't show spots. (I haven't used ribbon on corsages in years, but it's a good questions because it will get wet!)

@realflowerbusiness7 ай бұрын
That's great! I think as long as your efforts around marketing aren't draining your energy, then have fun with the reels. (I tend to resent the 30-45 minutes I spend sometimes to get that perfect 90 second or less, but it can be satisfying once it's done IF it starts a conversation or encourages folks to buy!)

Here's a quick tip for you. The names are gladiolus (singular) and gladioli (plural).
@realflowerbusiness Жыл бұрын
Both are correct, but as a florist for over 30 years I can state with confidence that "gladiolus" is not the common way we talk about this flower at work. Gladiola is common and acceptable.

i am wondering if you do flowers with full stems in hydration chamber too? do you think would help the flowers for bridal bouquet last longer if they still have their stems?
@realflowerbusiness Жыл бұрын
I have done a hydration chamber of sorts with bouquets that have very delicate blooms or even flowers that I plan to use for an arbor that I don't want to put water tubes on to help give them an extra hydration boost.
@parisme6781 Жыл бұрын
@@realflowerbusiness thank you for your response, may I ask do you keep the stem in water source while are in hydration chamber since they still have their stems?

This is so funny! Two nights ago my 21 yr old son was showing me how I could use AI in my business! He said maybe it could help me with proposal writing since that takes up so much of my time….the reviews were mixed 😂
@realflowerbusiness Жыл бұрын
That is so interesting! You know, I'm sure that it can be useful in some ways, but I feel like the personal touch we provide in understanding what matters most to our customers is something that's hard to translate in a proposal! And at the end of the day, we need to have a differentiator that unique to our human brand!
