What happened if we didn’t register the battery?thanks
@all-about-cars-basics5 күн бұрын
A bunch of stuff can happen. But the most basic one that has a direct impact on you battery is that the car BMS (Battery Management System) will not recognize it as new battery and since it has been charging an older battery before the installation of the new one, the rate of charge from the alternator will be aggressive and will end up wearing out your new battery prematurely, meaning your new battery will not last long enough as a registered one.

You do not need an adapter; you pair it through Bluetooth.

@@all-about-cars-basics Ok, so it’s only for phone calls? I ask for an adapter because of Bluetooth source of music. I should ad it on first sentence. Thanks for the answer 👌🏻
@all-about-cars-basics4 күн бұрын
@@danielsawicki4529 Oh! I seem to have misunderstood your first question. Unfortunately, Mercedes could not allow a user to play music using Bluetooth. But in a way to solve that, it placed a media interface in the glove box compartment that you can install an adaptor, connect through it and enjoy your music.

It's amazing how they manage to put more plastic with each new generation. My 2010 has only metal parts in the oil cooler , but lots of other parts are plastic. All the plastic parts become brittle after around 5 years so here comes new bills if you are stubborn not to buy a new one .
@all-about-cars-basics5 күн бұрын
Absolutely. I believe BMW is trying to find more ways to mint cash from existing customers. And one of it is to make sure plastic car parts are the order of the day.

Nope. My c240 has the exact cover and its a v6
@all-about-cars-basics5 күн бұрын
It is not about the type of the cover. It is about the partitions on the cover. I am sure if you go and confirm it with your car cover. You will find out that there are three partitions on each side of the cover, making it a V6 engine.

This video is SO helpful! We completed this whole job & somehow misplaced one of the 3 E8 bolts that connect the trans Oil cooler to the Engine. I cannot find the bolt anywhere online or in store & BMW is telling me I have to spend $700 on a new Trans oil cooler JUST to get the bolt, they dont get sold seperately. Any ideas?? I found a regular bolt & O ring that are similar in size, does this bolt hold in liquid or keep air out? Anything important that would get ruined if I use a regular bolt?
@all-about-cars-basics9 күн бұрын
Thank you. I am glad the video was helpful. You can use the bolt. The idea for the O ring is to help the bolt stay put and not to get displaced. You should be fine with the regular bolt.

Unfortunately, it requires specialized tools and programming access to the vehicle's computer system; after installation, you must take your car to a qualified mechanic or a Hyundai dealership where they can use diagnostic equipment to adjust the mileage reading on the instrument cluster, ensuring it accurately reflects the vehicle's actual mileage.
