The Smile on her face for the whole flight makes it well worth it. Top job to the pilot for doing that 👍. Cheers from Australia

I think I am about where you were at 1:20 in the video. Slightly awkward transition between running and takeoff. Love to see your improvement to a more natural, pleasant looking transition. There is hope for me.

You will get there. Just keep practicing. Every flight you learn something new. We all still have our days. I had one just this week. Nil wind launch, slightly uphill in clumpy field grass. I tripped, had to get off the power, recover back into my lean, and get back on the power. It was a horrible looking launch but came out fine because I had the time and space to recover.

@@pharmphlyer Thanks. During training (on a NV dry lake bed) I had the wing catch a serious gust from the side while running at full speed and took a spill to the right that really hurt. Nothing broken on me or the frame but the prop took a small nick that my instructor fixed with superglue (Filled the nick). Made me a little more afraid of that phase of launch. My wing is larger than the wing I trained on and with a little wind, I don't have to run as fast or far. I still dread the zero-wind launch. I am looking at adding the trike add-on for my Parajet Maverick so I have that option. I sometimes have trouble running as I am 57 and had a skydiving accident 25 years ago that left me with damaged ankles and some soreness after I run on them. I wanted to ensure I had the ability to go to trike without having to repurchase everything.

Awesome flight! I'm sure you and Joe were ready for that one!

Had a sketchy launch but I’m blaming that on having to run uphill and dodge thick clumps of grass🤣🪂. Other than that it was so good to bet back in the air after over a month of being grounded.

Podziwiam, że chciało Ci się wszystko nagrywać, zbierać i montować ten film. Chyba więcej czasu poświęciłeś na ten film niż na naukę latania.

Nice progression, your reverse launch technique was very smooth!
@pharmphlyer9 ай бұрын
Thanks, those reverses were done during training 2 years ago. Haven’t done one since. Not much opportunity for them here in the NE. If it’s windy enough to reverse it’s probably not safe flying where I live.

@@pharmphlyer I fly in NY so I know what you mean. I primarily only forward launch myself. Im gonna get a week of beach flying soon but I’ll be doing a lot of kiting to get used to it again😂
