Ask God for a grid to receive and hear His voice of Love. Instead of hearing Him and hearing condemnation instead of conviction through His Love.

I think what Dan is saying here is that we ought to let the Bible get in the way of what we believe. Hebrews 13:8 says that Jesus is (notice the tense) the same yesterday, today and forever. Many Christian’s confess (rightly so) that Jesus is in us (John 14), which means that He should come out in all circumstances for a believer. That is what spiritual growth is all about.
