Guns N' Roses quietly covering "People Get Ready" is why I love them. Seeing Axl, Slash and Duff back together again is... life affirming. Seeing them become Elder Statesmen of Rock is wonderful. Axl sounds excellent here. I feel like they're figuring this out.

6:24 Axl should change all the high vocal parts of the songs (which he can't sing anymore and sounds like mickey mouse when he tries or you can barely hear the volume at all) to singing in this deeper rougher voice, sounds much better.

I love the way they have started doing this kind of thing again , their live shows were so great in the illusion days because of the intros and covers and alterations to songs, they used to even push a sofa on stage and sit around and play like in a living room.. just killer to see them doing the cover intros again

Axl is great & I think that he has always been a great guy, but his trauma/ anger issues (any other issues he may have had in his youth, as well) did not allow for his good qualities to come through. He seems to be so much happier, and at peace with his life & himself these days, so we can finally see the amazing guy that he is (I had noticed this since 2016, so it is not really new) :)

The wild rocky stuff is good. But so is this quieter stuff, with Axl singing in his lower voice, which is beautiful. The backing vocals enhance Axl's solo singing. And we can clearly hear the skill of the musicians, especially Slash and the guitarists, playing some very challenging, but nice accompaniments and solo bits very well. Minimal staging and lighting effects can enhance certain types of songs, because the audience can focus attention on the auditory aspects ie actually listening to the music, without being distracted by the visual eg lighting effects etc Which can enhance the audience experience for some songs better than others and is definitely useful for setting the mood eg at the start of a show or during intermission or at the end, to leave a lasting final impression. The audience obviously enjoyed this song, judging by their enthusiastic applause.

Yea its incredible, I'm 55 now and I'm really how should I say enamored by this low register stuff. Probably because its the true him at least for this faze of his life, just like I loved the other stuff when "We" were both younger. I'd have no problem if they put out a low register album, I think it would be great.
@AnnemarieMay
@AnnemarieMay Жыл бұрын
@radesaul Yeah,I agree. Axl's extreme high vocal register if great for doing his special vocal effects but his main speaking g voice is a pretty low baritone or even a bass, I think. Many love his low rich, mellow natural speaking voice. Plus it suits a now more mature aged but still fine Axl. Only thing with even the finest low voices is they don't rise above orchestral sounds applause etc as well as higher piercing voices do. So when they sing, the band still can play incredibly great solos etc, but not in competition with the lower register vocals. Maybe bits in between vocals, like a dialogue or doing some interesting harmony to enhance the low er voices, bring out its true beauty, richness etc. Mellow as a nicely mature liquor.

Geoff stood alone in his day. As good as he may be here he recorded vocals that no one can touch. We may never seen such a singer again. Queensryche was a brilliant band through out.
