I just bought the fluval one and I noticed two of the clips you put on wrong. Because it’s not a frameless tank you don’t use those two clear clips. Then if it overflows the water can exit. Thanks for the video. Was very helpful!
@MORONI886 ай бұрын
Thank you very much for that info. I am going to take a look and see how to set it up correctly. Thank you for watching and commenting :)
@readaloudsandotherlearning34916 ай бұрын
Correction: The clips in the front are not needed for a framed tank. There is a second overflow that runs in the whole front that is lower. Then would waterfall off the front if needed to overflow. Just set mine up with hydroponic plants and loving it. I will say the rubber ring the fluval comes with is not very good. It ended up snapping. Had to rig something else up. Would recommend to seal the tube with glue before putting in as now I must run on full air so air does not escape from the connection.

Any ideas on which verity? It is not similar to the white oak or red oak I have, but the grain does look like an oak maybe like post oak? But I have not seen any migulary rays or lines on this.

All you have to do is cut a long, narrow piece of coarse foam sponge and run it up the intake tube about five inches. It cuts the glugging down dramatically.

Interesting, I will have to try that out. Thank you for the tip.

Isn’t that eastern cedar ?
@MORONI889 ай бұрын
No, I have some cedar. This is harder and heavier than white oak, ceder is softer and weightless in comparison. I have a padauk pen blank that is very similar in feel and hardness as well as color, I think ceder is the only domestic wood that is even close to this color, so good guess. And thank you for watching and commenting.

Just bought this model (well actually it is only the battery version) inline, thanks for the tips -on my first use of it today while watching your video - yes I found the filter very small and tight and expected it to fly off with the pressure and dirty water laod any second. Emptied it a couple of times and that seemed fine...but I only got the one filter bag with mine, no spares like you. I though up a trick to overcome this - using the water tube attachment I cleaned the bottom but let the water flow through my normal fish net...collecting all the gunge into that ....sure I needed 2 hands, but will probably be my way of using it in future.

Ista the ones I have at least the pipe connections are not plastic and after about a year they melted
@MORONI88 Жыл бұрын
Which connections are you talking about? Only thing I have needed to replace was the rubber o-ring that goes between the the two sections of pipe but I had to do that on both Ista and fluval was able to get better orings for a few cents that have lasted a few years now with no issues. Are those o-rings the connections you are talking about?

Nice Work! That is a really cool set up you've got there. I'm quite impressed because you have some really nice stuff, but it makes complete sense to not be picky and take it all. From my understanding, big shops usually make larger products, so off cuts are great for small projects. Thanks for the advice. Keep the videos coming good sir! -Chase
@MORONI88 Жыл бұрын
Thank you I appreciate that and yes for the bigger places short off cuts even 4' boards are not worth the time to sort and store them its more cost effective for them to just get them out of the way.
