Its funny how just like Hades is misunderstood for some masses as evil because they thinks he is the devil, Ares whos also has a lot of infamy as the god of war, is also one of the greek gods with the better track record. Yes, he is still the god of war bloodshed violence etc, and that part of his reputation is valid, but its more like he offers his strenght to whoever has the will to fight and for whathever rrason it might be, INCLUDIG women victim of abuse and other shenaningans of the times, which he was their patron god. He was also considerably caring for his children, in some version Nyke the goddess of victory is one of them, and he loves her dearly. He also has a soft spot for Hestia for seeing her as the closest to the mother he never had because Hera hates him.

@@_Lumiere_ tbf aphro was only with hephaestus because of a deal he struck with Zeus and Hera after a lot of shenaningans, later he basically caught them, ended the whole engagement, and then glued Hera to a magical chair until Zeus and her agreed to pay him back for all the BS because he still felt robbed. Both Aphro and Ares were happier together and considering Aphros origin as a war goddess herself it does make more sense.

That's why I think they did a good job with portraying the gods in Hades. We're gods, we're family... That makes gatherings cause earthquakes and squabbles cause floods.
