Amarnath yatra is part of kashmir tourism too. Regarding other tourists yes there is effect on other tourists due to time restrictions.

Yahan rainfall nahi hota hain kyunki yahan pe monsoon nahi hota. Amarnath yatra will end on about 18 August

You should book in advance the prices ranges from Rs 2500 to Rs 3500 per day depending size any type of cab.

No you can't go by local transport. You have to hire a cab from Srinagar. It can cost you about 15-18k for a 2-3 days return trip to Gurez.

Yahan August mein zyada rain nahi hoti kyunki yahan monsoon ka zyada effect nahi hota. Kashmir bilkul safe hain sab tourists ke liye. 2 crore tourists ne visit kiya last year yahan. Kuch zyada scams nahi hote yahan agar aap achi jagah se shopping kare.

We are planning to visit Pahalgam Sonmarg Gulmarg in July last week, Will be there be landslides? and about the cut off time of 2 PM, Can we stay in Pahalgam and still see places after 2 PM ? I mean if we don't want to go back to Srinagar on the day, is the cut off time causing any problem ?

Pahalgam, gulmarg never ever had landslides and why it will be landslides in summer? Yes you can stay for night if you have hotel bookings

Most of the attacks are in Jammu and not in Kashmir which is about 300kms from kashmir. The attacks are on border areas and have been happening there from past 30 years. There have been so many gun related attacks in US colleges and universities but no one is talking about leaving those colleges or universities. More than one crore tourists visited kashmir from past one year.
