is anyone else reminded of Neil from 'The Good Ones' when listening to Robert?

I love you Robert Smith. I had pictures of you all over my bedroom growing up and You are just as I remembered you. You stayed true. I respect that.

Loved them since I was 12 and bought A Forest then Primary, just ever since they've been there, making this life richer. You know when that affects millions of us, that is the most amazing thing to consider. And this frankly stunning, incredible new album has me just blown away. It is f*ing GREAT to have them back with new music.

Fantastic. An old friend introduced me to The Cure in the 80s when we were 16. I didn’t get it then, but I kept returning to try. I do now, at 55. Thank you Tee. 🖤

Maybe... just maybe... the best version of From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea I've ever heard. That guitar solo. The entire concert. Like many others, I got wrapped up in life and things and stuff. Lost the Cure... Glad I found that lost world. Again.

As a 68 year old I'm ashamed to say that I only discovered the "real" Cure after their 2019 Glasto set. I had no knowledge other than Friday I'm in Love and am just thankful for this revelation. To me, Robert's voice hasn't changed since the early days. I have to see them live this year

On a walk, I decided to listen to the album. When the song A Fragile Thing came on, I was suddenly overcome with deep emotion. I instantly felt a lump in my throat, and tears filled my eyes. I’m not sure why. The music, the lyrics-it was just there, this overwhelming feeling of sorrow. Without thinking about it, I couldn’t finish the song. Later, I listened to the whole album. And what can I say? It’s simply amazing! The space it creates for personal thoughts and feelings is endless. Thank you, The Cure!

Robert and the Cure, forever fan of you, boys. Thanks, thank you very much since 1979......with 3 imaginary boys, the first 👍👍

Bonne continuation. De tout cœur avec vous. A sublime album that lives up to Robert Smith and his band. Which I have loved since my early youth. Thank you Robert ❤🎉. I still see the concerts, including that in Nantes at the Palais de la Beaujoire. Good luck. With all my heart.

Ok. I love this. And my age isn’t relevant. But there’s two things that bug me. 1. I hear the guy playing the base with distortion but behind that I hear a regular a base. Where the person playing that? Off stage? 2. Dude playing the distorted base struts round like he is is playing at a Metallica concert. Hangs out like he’s tuning up in his garage band. Just kinda kills the vibe.

A Slovenian sculpture? Oh lord. I never realised. (I'm Slovenian) He pronounced the author's name perfectly. And the author of the sculpture dying on that same day..? Death somehow connects me to the latest tour of the Cure as well... I lived in Krakow while my sister was dying in Slovenia, of cancer. I saw The Cure live in Krakow for the first time in my life, and Robert played a song for his brother, who lived in Krakow for a while, but passed away too soon. I cried and thought of my sister. She introduced me to The Cure when I was a child. Their music was like a cure for my wounded soul as a child. But I never got to give her a cure myself... Somehow sad and somehow magical and meaningful. And so it all connects, it somehow makes sense for me, even if it doesn't.

It’s incredible how certain moments in life can open us up to things we’ve always had right in front of us, yet never truly seen. The music of The Cure has become, for me, not just something to listen to, but a sort of refuge-a safe space where I can lose myself and find myself at the same time. Every song seems to tell a story that, in some way, also speaks about me.
