Earlier, I asked about longer and shorter screws, but I measured it and I already know where they should be - shorter blue (5 pieces) are supposed to be located along the sides of the phone - this is important because you can damage the screen.

Thanks! I just mess with broken stuff for a hobby, but my best guess would be either the backlight driver circuit or maybe a failing led. I've not played with backlight issues yet, but there's some good vids around for diagnosing. The voltages can be a bit scary, so stay safe!
