Image and Music had become powerfully complementary and this musical sample gives us an overview of the magnificent musical Palette which accompanied us through all these astonishing and sublime achievements which made the heyday of this WESTERN SPAGHETTI so aptly named for lack of better and which we still love and even if the style may have gone out of fashion, it introduced new ways of filming, new methods of Storytelling, more punch in the fight scenes, more harshness, ' harshness and somewhere more authenticity that we still find today in the new productions of the genre which appear like rare nuggets on the big screen...The choirs on some of these compositions are to die for so much is magnificent and they occupy the entire depth of field for our total happiness and the powerful and beautiful voice of Mireille MATHIEU is incomparably accurate... This is an example of what is best achieved in cinema at the level of musical quality...

Que de souvenirs forts et Nostalgiques d' une Epoque où le WESTERN a connu son second souffle et sans doute remporté à nouveau l' Adhésion d' un Public large entièrement sous le charme et la Fascination du Genre qui a été dépoussiéré . C' est aussi l' époque où des GENIES de la musique du grand écran comme Ennio MORRICONE ont apporté leur contribution essentielle pour apporter la touche essentielle qui manquait au Genre ,quelque chose de délicat ,de mélancolique ,de puissant avec des envolées lyriques mémorables et incontournables dans la trame d' histoires lointaines et fortes que nos pionniers de l' Ouest ont vécu dans le sang et les larmes .Tous les ingrédients du Genre étaient réunis pour la grande fête et ce n' était pas toujours des Héros qui avaient l' apanage du rôle principal mais l' apparition d' Anti-héros ,de personnages pas forcément honnêtes ou propres dans leurs bottes avec des tenues débraillées et même à la morale douteuse mais qui au final s' avéraient nécessaires à l' accomplissement d' une justice en marge de la loi . L' Image et la Musique étaient devenus puissamment complémentaires et cet échantillon musical nous donne un aperçu de la Palette musicale magnifique qui nous a accompagné au travers de toutes ces Réalisations étonnantes et sublimes qui ont fait les belles heures de ce WESTERN SPAGHETTI si bien nommé à défaut de mieux et que nous adorons toujours et même si le style est peut-être passé de mode ,il a introduit de nouvelles manières de filmer , de nouvelles méthodes de Narration , plus de punch dans les scènes de combat ,plus de dureté ,d' âpreté et quelque part plus d' authenticité que l' on retrouve toujours aujourd'hui dans les nouvelles réalisations du genre qui apparaissent comme de rares pépites sur le Grand écran...Les Choeurs sur certaines de ces compositions sont à tomber tellement c' est magnifique et elles occupent toute la profondeur de champ pour notre Bonheur total et la voix puissante et belle de Mireille MATHIEU est incomparable de justesse ...Ceci est un exemple de ce que l' on a réalisé de mieux dans le cinéma au niveau de la qualité musicale...

I was not familiar with this song until I heard Rita's rendition. I have to admit that the Navarro's original is impressive both in his singing, as well as in the orchestral arrangement. However, Chico's singing, though quite beautiful, does not touch the heart the way Rita does. I consider Rita's Imagina album her highest artistic achievement, a treasure of intimate, subtle emotional expression.
