Very informative video for those who haven't done that. Hey I finally got some glass for my doors! A friend got all new glass for His 55 and he gave me his old ones. Now I gotta pull out the homemade lexan and have real glass. 😊

Good luck on your project. Pace yourself. When you get tired, take a brake and don't rush to the finish line. Takes just a little more time to do it right. I have a 48 chevy 3100 in my shop and it's worth every careful step.

Nice job. If that's the color combo you want then more power to ya. Redoing a 48 chevy 3100 in christmas truck red myself. Alot of work but very satisfying.😊

How many coats did you put on it. Did it cover good.

@@pipewrench83dewig81 I did 3 coats. The coverage was plenty, honestly you can get away with 2 coats using a 75% overlap. When I sprayed the top half of my doors, I did two coats which came out smoother

Is the car done? Driven it yet? I have some repairs/modifications still to do on my ‘55 but trying to decide what to do about front suspension. Like you I was thinking rebuilt stock lower arms and maybe Global West tubular uppers. They never got installed but my came with new 2” drop spindles and disc/power brake conversion. I want a little lower but not down in the weeds.

@@bigblockkings1031 thank you! You can do it on forza if you have Xbox or a computer. Forza horizon 5 is what I used. I had to make the moldings my self with graphics because the uploaded model on forza is a 150 model

What kind of welder do you use for your builds

I have a Lincoln sp135 plus, it’s an older model. 110v mig welder. I use solid welding wire with gas for the best results, 🤙🏽

I just acquired a 1955 Nomad “project”. I think the guy who did this quarter panel work on your car did the lower front quarters (both sides) on mine. They cut patches from some junkyard car and welded (if you can call it that) them in. It’s all going to have to come out.
