Yes they did, ED2 has "GLD Spoilers Deployed" advisory message posted after touchdown. The handle does not move with automatic deployment in the CRJ

Stupid question- are the Screens supposed to be flashing like that?
@megazloth13763 жыл бұрын
Shutter speed of the camera makes them look like that, more than likely. Pretty sure they're not actually flashing at all.
@SgfGustafsson Жыл бұрын
They are CRT screens, each line of pixels is “painted” side to side and top down at a high rate of speed. The human eye, or brain I guess, doesn’t detect this. The camera has a similar refresh rate so it captures snapshots of only random parts of the screen being recently drawn at a time. Same thing happens when filming leds
@firstander19613 жыл бұрын
Why do the screens flicker on and off like that
@Ryan-zc1tz3 жыл бұрын
It's just the refresh rate of the camera. The screens arent actually flickering.

All I see is the FO screwing the pooch and piledriving the thing onto the tarmac into a dead on headwind. My 5 year old can do a good take off in a 74...so I wouldn't be holding that as some standard!lol! The problem is he left the AT on too long and didn't arrest his sink rate over the threshold. Bad form....Oh, and you make good money, get a watch band that fits. Ya look like a gypsy!lol!

@charlesnicholson75398 ай бұрын
That’s the beeper sound associated with a master caution. In this case, the master caution was triggered by the autothrottle being disconnected.

They're used as needed, often if you need to get speed down during descent. Are you thinking of spoilers? Those auto-deploy on most airliners upon touchdown and retract on their own.

On the CRJ the GLD (ground lift dump aka ground spoilers) deploy when the reversers are armed and the GLD is in the normal position. The handle doesn’t move like in the Boeing products. Only time you’ll move it is when you’re manually deploying them.
