Good idea for making aluminium stuff for 3D printing! Where these rails come from? A machine tool? Do you have a 3D printer able to print projects with metal? If it is, what the brand and the model of the printer? Good luck in your projects!

When I get a blow out I tip the whole furnace over to get the aluminium out while still molten. Its not as big but probably a similar weight. Please cover the insulation as the fibres are very nasty when loose. Keep up the good work Subscribed

I was happy with the design of this foundry since I kept the ceramic blanket and fire bricks tight to each other and didn't leave as many gaps. I have definitely inhaled some of those fibers and have at least been meaning to get a better mask/respiratory, since some other videos I've watched mentioned how bad those fibers are. Thank you for watching and subscribing, there's still plenty more to melt down for future 3D printed castings.

@@eazyfluxfoundry2314 The design is top notch, I like how simple it is and how much you can melt in one go. A thin Zircon coating might be easiest to apply. I have applied high density castable refractory over the insulation by hand about 5mm thick. This has lasted well but is quite heavy.

If you use a drill with cord you would have FASTER RPMs and be able to drill holes faster. Also try drilling a 1/4 inch hole first and use motor oil for lube so you don't 🔥 poor drill bits. 😢 AWSOME setup for monster aluminum melts! 👍

Coat the fiber! Use Ceramic coat or Satinite. You are blowing micro fibers, that are like asbestos fibers, into the air and breathing them. Get a proper Ceramic cruciable too, iron contamination in your pot.
