My childhood home had cabinets above the washer/dryer where i would play army men vs dinosaurs among the soup and vegetable cans. My mom would make me a grill cheese and chocolate milk for lunch. Then I'd take a nap listening to the soothing sounds. I still love the pantry.

I like that the camera cuts off early. As soon as it goes quiet I wake right up from my nap.

I wonder what kind of motor they used for it to last so long.

Ever since I was young,I'd always go hide in the dark bathroom during washing/drying cycles cause it helped me relax and forget the world outside the bathroom or the laundry room. With the advent of quiet models...I don't have a choice but to rely on YT so thank you very much for your uploads.

My dad had a washer similar to this. It was Hotpoint but I think it was from the 80's.

The bath mat resulted in a not-so-smooth spin cycle, but that still PROVES that at the end of the day, the old school washer wins. Unlike HE washers when they are unbalanced, they put out an error code, and start the cycle all over again - your whole paycheck out the window.

We had a similar washer years ago my dad worked for GE so we had several of them this window had one of the worst agitators the straight vain

My grandma had one when I was a kid. They were OK machines, the tramamission went after 10 years or so. Not as good as my current Whirlpool direct drive from 2000, 25 years and still going strong, but still tons better than today's stuff.

Filter-flos have been and probably will be some of my favorite types of washers ever

My parents had a GE/Hotpoint much like this. They purchased it around 1993 or 94 I think. It although had a white slanted console with puffy square push- buttons like the Whirlpool Cleantouch, and a handwash system with the attachable bowl shaped dispenser. It still worked and sounded much like this machine here. Those sounds are nostalgic. It was replaced by a front loader in 2007 or so. As a teen I began to miss it and wanted it back badly but it was long gone for several years before. These videos bring back the memories though.

This has to be the best 45 minute washer video on the channel, no interruption and great quality sound for napping. Just loop it and heaven awaits. Ty
