I stay out of the politics of the Dam. I am just interested in the history of making a new lake and changing the geography of the land.

Ft St John B.C. Canada B C Hydro just announced they would start filling the reservoir at the end of August. I will be filming it in 4-5 parts as it fills up. They say about 4 months. but with the rivers so low I think it will take longer.

No I dont think electric cars are the problem. They will be thou. I am all for more Dams and hydro projects. I just will never drive a electric car. After 60 years of muscle cars in my garage I will always have one or two. I think they are so far off base with what they are planning with electric cars.

@@rongibson6281 I agree that dam are relatively simple addition to the grid since there's already hundreds of them, zero emissions and overall less destructive since they offer natural habitat and flood control. I also agree that I'll always have a hobby car in my garage as well. (i've spent many years legally road racing and since moving out to BC have enjoyed overlanding and rock crawling) but you seem pretty reasonable enough to admit that electric cars certainly fit the over whelming majority of the daily grind getting from A to B when the average is just 35kms round trip. they don't fit everyone but they fit the majority.

Yes The reservoir was to start filling this fall but will now start fall 2023. I will be doing 4 updates as it fills. They say it will only take 4 months to fill. B C Hydro has a ton of information and pictures of progress on the web site.

Site C is hydro Electric but i haven't seen any info that it's also pumped hydro storage. from what i understand pumped hydro is almost never on a flowing river.

I will be back there in the spring. Will fly from the camp grounds. I crashed the Phantom and was pricy to fix. So am a bit chicken with drones. I used the mini for bridge shots. Will do some under the bridge shots as there is lots of room. Do a youtube search on that bridge. I never knew it was that famous. Lots of good videos on it. Thanks for watching.

I have crashed my drone also, but trees my downfall. If your not comfortable don't do it. I push the limits sometimes wishing I had done more after I get home and watch what was shot. Thanks for your response!
