Please ma ,how did your waist equal after adding 3 inches to the back waist?

I added 1.5” on the waist on the front piece 1” for dart and the half to join the crotch, I didn’t add side sim. Normally the front will be smaller after joining the side sim so the back will make up for it. If you have excess on the waist, you can increase the back dart by 1.5” or 2” instead of 1” I hope you understand.

How in the world did you just stitched on the gathers of the silk fabric without sewing it on other fabric, and the gathers stayed in place. My gathers don’t stay in place if I stitch on them.

The skirt part to include surprisingly, the zipper was simple. The tulle was the challenging part, but I'm just about complete, and my skirt will be ready for me to wear on the first Sunday in July. Thank you for the wonderful skirt tutorial.

I normally use half of my waist circumference plus 3-5” I don’t know if it will work for you so just expand on your waist to know the measurement.
