There is nothing "trivial" about the death and astonishing talent of a great like Phyliss Hyman. Are you just in love with alliteration? You're silly. The documentary is decent --- the title is simple-minded.

Why - what were the challenges associated with a labor and getting a album released. I don’t understand.

She was so beautiful! I became an instant fan in 1979. Her voice drew you in and forced you to feel her pain. Her beauty, music, and style always made me think of Billie Holiday. It's like they were both hurting and feeling lonely in the same way. 😔

When my mom had told me that she had seen her singing at the concert during her teenage years in the '80s I couldn't understand at the time why she cried so much until my mother & my great aunt who knew her & her family for years told me that she was going through a lot of personal struggles depression and commit suicide is one of them . Even though I was a baby when she died in 1995 and I started to listen to her music at age of 14 in 2009 14 years after she passed. She had been going through a lot of struggles at the time she was and still is today a good legend in 2021 R.I.P Phyllis Hyman !!!

If she had only had a background in church choir. You can tell the struggle in her rhythmic control. It's almost like she practiced using blues music. But she still had talent.

Depression is very real and if you don't get the help you need and the right medication, the outcome can be suicide. The answer is a relationship with our Father who is in HEAVEN and other believers. I know how bad it can get, I was once young and the oldest of ten siblings. Got married @ an early age, lived with an abusive husband for 15 years and had 6 children of my own and bad relationships, but in the end Jesus was the answer to all of my problems. Now I live alone, have grandchildren and greatgrand children and God sustains me through it all. I hope this helps someone, I love Phyllis Hyman's music, she was very talented and no one can DUPLICATE her, so amazing and UNFORGETTABLE 💖💖🎶 💃🎤🎶📀💿 RIP🙏🏽

How to love someone like this is kit gloves type of emotions. Many times people don't see the pain that the industries put on a person to make them purduce 100 % recordings and what they hold over them to get it done. Wow! So soon sad. Its being done another where they don't want your parents to be near so it then can become what they want. Hype

My God the price a person give for success. Death my Lord, its so true that what is it for a man / woman to give up there life and lose your Soul. She said it best when she wanted to do it her way .Where your word is your bond. Its a different world. Sad to say. We are living in it.
