Just exceptional. Such a beautiful lament. I bow in respect. Close my eyes and think about being in the wilderness; mountains, travelling through an inspired landscape whether it’s the Hebrides, Taygetos Mountains or Sahara, this music takes me there.

She is taking all the time needed to express the piece in a deeper way as Chopin might have wanted it , unlike the popular interpretation that plays much faster.

I remember the first time I heard this theme in the movie theatre, I forgot about the movie. Time stoped and I was happy to be in vain, alone with the feeling that this music evoked in me. Thank you T.N! And yes, Oscar is long overdue. In any case with or without one, your music will live! This is the true test of time!

Yes, I accept Martin's view that what Paul did was 'a version'. But I think Paul showed disrespect in what he did at the time and the cost of that far outweighs any sort of settlement. Although Paul afterwards admitted his part, his initial disrespect stays. Which is sad that Paul didn't think beyond just getting a 'version' of someone's guitar arrangement.

The perfecty intrict pauses between the chords and meoldy I feel... represent the duality of the projection of a happy family and the actual drama (to put it lighley) between their family dynamics. Just a 2024, rediscovery of this beautiful soundtrack.

This song is perfect, subtle, simple, and gets out of its own way. My kids hate all the music I play in the car but they love his album INDOOR SAFARI. Can't argue with true music.
