The phrase " I am safe" has helped me. I actually now start my day with a meditation session that calms me. It's worth the 25 minutes of guided meditation.

What BS! Your brain works on many levels, like when you're driving, you do so sub-consciously - it is innate. You don't have to literally think about tweaking the wheel to correct steering (lots of BMW drivers don't). So when you try to think of who sung California Dreaming and get on with your day, a level of your brain is working on that issue - and suddenly it comes to you. It really was working on that all the time you were sorting out your sock drawer. Unfortunately, a worry or concern about something does exactly the same thing - you may not (on a conscious level) even recognise it...but it's there, troubling you. It is THAT which gives you the pain, as it tightens the muscles in the back of your neck. You really have to deal with the troubling issue/s. No 'journals' or posture or water are going to help! Lay down away from a loved one, or even your wife, shut your eyes, and think about the issue which IS there. Deal with it and enjoy the rest of your life. Oh, and please don't forget to think before you vote. It's evident that so many don't.

@@nh6946 I had it as recently as last week (which is why I clicked on the video). I once had it for six years - six years!!! I was pretty sure what my most recent one was all about, and I was right (it was a small contract job that I had never done before). As soon as the job was done (the assassination was carried out successfully with no hiccups), I was fine again. If you want to read more about the brain, read a book called 'Incognito' by David Eagleman. Brilliant.
This video helped me realize how funny I look like when having panic attacks. 😅 or maybe I really am but a happy soul who finds bright sides on situations. And so.. I didn't wanna look like that anymore. I worked on getting better everyday :) took me a year though before I got back to myself again. Sometimes it still hits me, but I can now control my thoughts and emotions and I keep telling myself that as long as nothings hurts I AM OK. Nothing to be anxious about!

BMI has made me terrified to eat food. I not longer eat meals I just eat snacks. I am around 30, and can easily tip from the overweight category to the obese. I am 6 feet tall and weigh about 210 lbs. My wife says I'm not fat as I have a lot of muscle, but BMI tells me I obese. For health purposes I am in the same category of people who weigh 500lbs.I do a fast one day a week to bring my weight down. I think I will have to fast two days a week to get my weight down to stay less than 30.
@TangomanX2008Ай бұрын
your wife is mistaken. For 6 feet at 210, you are classified as "Overweight" and won't hit the Obese Class 1 category until 230lbs.
@TangomanX2008Ай бұрын
Also, keep in mind that there are levels of obesity. Being a Class 1 Obese individual is not the same as being a Class 3 Obese individual.

I've suffered from panic attacks for over 30 years. The only way I can explain to someone who has never had this physical and mental experience is this........ You are sitting down in your living room, relaxed, happy maybe, then a 660 pound siberian tiger enters the room. What would your response be? Think about it. Your adrenaline would be pretty high. Response to fear would be to run wouldn't it? But you can't. Heart pumping, stomach churning, sweating etc. That's what a panic atttack is.
