one time playing overwatch, i wasnt really talking but my boyfriend was. and some girl joined team voice to yell at my boyfriend for something that was her fault, and she kept demeaning my boyfriend so i jumped in to tell her she was being rude and condescending and was downright abusive and she turned this baby voice on to talk to me (mock me), and was calling me babe and hon while she was being toxic and screaming like she was being murdered.

I get this all the time especially with the asking if you are a girl or a boy everyone thats toxic on this game always says i sound like an 11 year old boy and its not only guys girls do it to me too i got this one chick being so toxic the whole game and she muted me while i was agreeing with her (the guy was talking too much, not giving comms and also being toxic she was only being toxic to me the whole game) I still tried to be nice i was playing with a guy and she was perfectly fine with him but no one else.

The past year or so I have seen myself, friends and others become increasingly more toxic all because of a rank and the desire to win. Lately I have been thinking a lot about this topic because I do not see myself as a toxic person, but the community and the fight for a gunbuddy has driven me to a point where I can't even excuse my own actions and pretend I haven't been toxic. I have been the toxic girl, perhaps not in the same way as the Clove, but I have several times ended up in an argument and for what? I miss the time when I started playing Valorant, where I didn't care if I did mistakes or if others done the same. In the end, its only a game which should be enjoyable, but with the ongoing harrassment in the community from both genders? No thanks. I will of course continue to stand up to toxicity and protect those who can't, but 2025 will be the year of reporting, blocking and protecting my own peace. The game is not worth feeling sad over! As others has said in the comments - you have every right to stand up for yourself and be toxic back! But don't forget to protect your own emotions, inner peace and enjoy the game. The mute button is sadly not a solution in the long run, it feels like a defeat most of the time.. but how much hate shall we endure? I believe in us, Jellie. I wish we didn't have to feel this way.. what makes me so mad, its that people will still play valorant normally bc riot dont do shit. I had the worst match of my life, where my teammates (if i can call they like it ) were calling me bitch and throwing bombs ans molly on me. I just remeber bed rotting and crying the all day, bc they said "u can report me, they will not ban me" and, ive never recieved any information back of that report, so I just dont play valorant anymore and i really hate riot and how they created this rlly toxic environment IN ALL GAMES, so.,, they just dont try to solve the problem.

this way this girl acted was disgusting. you only act like this towards other human beings when you are really hurting. overtime as well is BRUTAL. experiences like this make you think of why you play games. its for fun right? and obviously you did not have to go through this. the reality is when you can mute and even distract yourself (music or w/e) you are choosing this experience. you have control. i mean hell you could have even left the game not that i recommend that but it sounds like your experience was bad enough it wouldve been an improvement. you dont have to be open to this kind of bs to be open to the good and happy. so close yourself off to these people and focus on having fun. i know this girl was being a bitch but i feel bad for her. happy people do not act like this. and im sorry she took it out on you. dont let people like this have this kind of power to effect you and just mute them. i know you know. also i just popped off
