Keep it simple is the Philosophy and it works. We know what a "Hand-wired" sound is and we know it can't be faked 100%. Sell your unused pedals and get this baby.

I did not know this amp. You make me discover it ! Very nice retro look and good definition of sound ! I think the Duane should pair really well with my Reverends (Airsonic-Warhawk-Buckshot and Crosscut). Thank you so much for this review!

I run a DSL1 (yes, one watt which is switchable to 0.1W) through a 1974X extension cab (12 inch greenback) and sounds amazing. Granted, I only use this at home, but even the 1W, is very loud for home use.

I have this Marshall with the pedal funciona in spice what many says I like the their simplified controls, the sound and It sounds pretty well with pedals.

@@anthonylabarbera3656 This is just my opinion, but if you have a good microphone you can record from just about any amp. It doesn't need to be very loud to mic up.

Sounds pretty good to me. I just ordered one of these from GC used section for $100. I got it for quick little practices at home so I didn’t have to warm up the tube amps. I hope I like it.

I played all 3 and bought the EL 34 model, just warmer to my ears, but they are all great with a speaker upgrade.

I have this amp a dsl 40 cr and a mino jubilee and for my tastes this amp kills the other 2 to the point where I think I will sell the other 2 and use the money for another guitar. The dsl 5 sounds great though the stock 10 inch speaker but ran through an extension cab it becomes a whole different animal . Through a 4 by 12 or a 2 by 12 it sounds huge. I love the deep switch which is use more like a bright switch because I usually have the deep switch engaged and when I want to brighten things up I turn the deep switch off and if I use an extension cab I still have plenty of thickness with the deep switch off.
