Maybe not the best video to comment this on, but it seems that it has been such a trend for people to comment on these covers, saying that they’re not as good as the original. I really don’t get it. 1) Of course not, both Bilals are legends. 2) I don’t think these people are trying or expecting to be. 3) Is it not good enough that people are inspired by such powerful music to challenge themselves and try to be better? The kind of “soulful,” gospel-level playing that Bilal delivers is incredibly powerful and inspiring, and the toxic comments that have come out of it are unproductive and degrading. Like okay the OG is better what’s your point? Is the standard to just shit on every academic or non-original cover/ performance there is?

This is definitely a version... I just noticed that he's playing through a mask and I'd bet that he was about faint a few times... Will & Hank DEFINITELY got people looking at their trombones differently! Soul sold separately.
