No. If every tiny combination of notes can only be used once in the history of man kind we are soon running out of any listenable music. It's already a problem now. Many creations which sound kind of good but sound twisted to not let it sound like something else. There is a difference between copying and getting inspired by other music. And be honest. Had anyone ever heard of that band? This is free publicity.

Thanks for your opinion. Just to be clear, I don't want to diss Mr. Gallagher as I respect him as a songwriter and have even seen him live in concert. I was watching the making of "Council Skies" today and heard a snippet of his song and immediately the other song came to mind. "Du Bist Überall" is a non single on an album that's almost 25 years old, so the likelihood that Gallagher actually heard it is pretty much zero. By the way: Freiheit is a band from Munich, Germany that enjoyed great success in their home country and even had a top 20 hit in the UK with "Keeping The Dream Alive". Just like Gallagher, they were also influenced by the Beatles.

She writes songs!!! Look into it!
@aleccopile5 ай бұрын
Well, I'm not saying she doesn't write songs or contribute something here and there. I just don't see her as a singer-songwriter. "I'm not here to say sorry I'm not here to say nothing I'm just here to be me All those bridges been burning I been sat here just yearning Just to be me Baby, turn the lights out (Turn the lights out, babe) Baby, turn the lights out" That's all the lyrics to the intro track. I just wonder what she actually wrote when two other people were involved for this short song.

That's right, but it was good enough for me because I was able to stand in the front row ☺️. The place was sold out, but I think she could have easily played in a bigger venue, because her gig in Cologne took place in a venue that holds four times as many people as the one in Frankfurt.

Yes, I love that album. Check out my review of Róisín Murphy's "Hit Parade". I'm also talking about the entire Moloko discography 😉. I also think it's great that someone else appreciates "Take My Hand". It's criminal that it's only a B-side and that they never put it on the "Statues" album. Such a gorgeous song.

Well, I actually like his introduction, I think it's fun, but other than that, yeah, I agree that I don't think he's necessary on the show. His appearance on "Celebration" is okay too, but Madonna didn't do herself any favors by bringing him on stage on "Vogue". It's just too much.
