I watched “My All American” (about Freddie) for the first time last week. After watching I immediately started the movie again and watched it a second time. Then again the following evening for the third time and have told numerous people about it. What a truly remarkable person of great character and also outstanding athlete Freddie was.

Freddie was an amazing young man. The movie fid him justice. 1. Amazing portrayal by Finn Wittrock. 2. Amazing acting job by Aaron Eckhart as Darrell Royal. 3. Great performance by Sarah Bolger as Linda. 4. The football action was spot on! 5. Amazing attention to detail in this film. 6. The hidden gems of Case McCoy (as the Arkansas quarterback), Juston Street (as his father James Street), and Jordan Shipley (as Cotton Speyrer) were appreciated. (Jordan Shipley said the training camp they did for this movie was tougher than any NFL training camp he'd ever attended. )

Weird how much better Colorado was that season but they still disappointed. Lost to Washington and to Oklahoma St. But otherwise were significantly better, overall. Sorry to see it didn't carry through.

That was the following year. Ronnie was a good guy as a player and teammate.

@@dougadkins7006 Ronnie B. should have two Super Bowl rings with the Denver Broncos too. But Mike S. kept Darius Johnson over him which was a mistake if you ask me. I’ve known Ronnie since the Holly Park days. Technically CU should have two national championships too but E.B. was coughing up the rock that first national championship game.

Seeing these moments from my childhood played out in this movie was like comfort food for my soul. I remember Freddie on the sidelines at the Cotton Bowl. I remember when he died. I cry every time. EVERY time. Kudos to Juston Street, spot on portrayal of his dad, the late great James Street. We need more movies like this one!

I’m halfway through the movie all american now and as soon as Freddie started having leg pain I assumed he has cancer and will most likely die I have half an hour left and know that’s the case the way it’s portrayed in the movie how much he loved NFL and was 100% motivated about playing it makes me think if he didn’t die he would have gone a long way in the NFL that’s for sure very sad how he died at the age of 22 never got the chance to live properly

Good movie, amazing story. Kind of sad that he did all he could and in the end it wasn't enough. RIP Freddie
