Is that’s John Williams with him? My favourite classical player with my favourite rock player doing it organically: heaven.

Had the privilege of seeing them in this period powerful for a teenager What a band glad too have been so impressionable in the 70s 😁✌️

Artistic perfection on every conceivable level... even the guitar flip at the end. This is one of the greatest acoustic performances of all time.
@kurtlonde58922 ай бұрын

There should be a double album of Pete doing acoustic versions of all his songs.

"For I know that the "hypnotized" never lie", meaning that the brainwashed are so blind they have no capacity to know right from wrong. Then Pete gives that piercing stare as he asks you, (rhetorically, maybe) "Do ya?", as if maybe you are one of the hypnotized and don't even know it, your conscience so seared as if by a hot iron...

The Who from The Who Sell Out, Tommy, Live At Leeds, Who's Next, Quadrophenia and Who By Numbers are just incredible. I also love the compilation The Kids Are Alright, with tracks like Long Live Rock and their live show stealing version of A Quick One While He's Away from Rock'n'Roll Circus. Personally i think The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who are the 3 greatest band's ever. They all came out in the early '60s and changed music for the better. Each band has something different to offer and i personally love all of the Beatles music, the Rolling Stones from '65-'74 and the Who from the My Generation album right through to Who Are You. The 3 greatest bands from England. * I would also put the Kinks in there, especially their '60s heyday
I never noticed it before but his voice is like a trumpet totally on key very strong and clear and reed like.

Along with everything else, I have always loved Pete's voice-- He did an amazing job at this concert. Drowned was phenomenal as well. --- apparently Pete was so nervous going on, he was physically ill before the show. I'm sure the extra brandys were flowing that night. I believe this is one of the first performances without the members of The Who. Love em' all!! Another Hooligan

We'll be fighting in the streets With our children at our feet And the morals that they worship will be gone And the men who spurred us on Sit in judgment of all wrong They decide and the shotgun sings the song I'll tip my hat to the new constitution Take a bow for the new revolution Smile and grin to the changes all around Pick up my guitar and play Just like yesterday Then I'll get on my knees and pray We don't get fooled again The change, it had to come We knew it all along We were liberated from the fold, that's all And the world looks just the same And history ain't changed 'Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war I'll tip my hat to the new constitution Take a bow for the new revolution Smile and grin at the changes all around Pick up my guitar and play Just like yesterday Then I'll get on my knees and pray We don't get fooled again No, no I'll move myself and my family aside If we happen to be left half alive I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky For I know that the hypnotized never lie Do ya Yeah There's nothing in the streets Looks any different to me And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye And the parting on the left Is now the parting on the right And the beards have all grown longer overnight I'll tip my hat to the new constitution Take a bow for the new revolution Smile and grin to the changes all around Pick up my guitar and play Just like yesterday Then I'll get on my knees and pray We don't get fooled again Don't get fooled again, no, no Yeah Meet the new boss Same as the old boss

What the hell happened to John William's guitar in the recording of this historic duet? This bloke's an outstanding classical and classical-rock fusion player, and this golden opportunity to record a collaboration between him and one of rock's best songwriters of all time seems to have been completely muffed.
