Isabel Dirks

Hello! Welcome to my channel. I'm a director/devisor based in New York, currently attending Pace University for Theatre Directing under the International Performance Ensemble program. I am passionate about the potential live theater has for social change, whether that be through raising awareness, education, testimony, or therapeutic healing, and I am constantly seeking to learn other ways that performing arts can elicit change in our world. I am currently completing a double major in Peace and Justice Studies, and I am eager to use my knowledge of our social systems and restorative justice initiatives in my theatrical work to introduce ideas for reform to audiences. I hope that audiences walk away from my work feeling responsible towards our communities and pressed to initiate change, as well as hopeful that change is possible.
