Big thanks to everyone involved, another Abie song to enjoy! After just one listen, my favorite part is the second to last note; 'long.' You expect the melody to shift, but it stays on the same note: '...ever is a long LONG time.' That second 'long' sticks on the same note, defying the usual expectation. For the musicians out there: the last three chords are A, B, and E - a classic ending progression. The melody keeps landing on the E note, even for the second-to-last note, where you'd expect a D#. Yum!

That's because the penultimate chord is not a B but rather a B11 which has the E note in it. Yum.

@@elicohen2806 A musician, nice! It’s a 'chicken or egg' dilemma. The choice of B11 as the penultimate IMO comes from a prior decision to feature E as a melody note while still within the B harmonic framework. This is also consistent with Abies' composition style. The resolution to the tonic is especially satisfying because the E, functioning as the 11th over the B, creates a much greater degree of tension and dissonance than the more traditional leading-tone D#.

Abbie is a treasure and gift to klal yisroel but in 40+ never saw him so active in a video perhaps a new direction of his career in his 70s❤

Beautiful. Made me cry. And smile. Inspiring and comforting. As has been pointed out in another comment-- the guf comes back with techias hameisim and joins the neshama. Forever. A Long Long time.

Beautiful. Nice messages. It's true that the guf gets put in the earth at the time of death as we define it. However, that is a new beginning. The body goes through a metamorphosis process and at techias hameisim will be brought back to life as we know it. So the end at burial is a stage of the gufs journey. However, it too, along with the soul, is eternal and will reveal that truth after techias hameisim.

I just want to add... From the Alter Rebbe's aphorisms: "We have absolutely no conception how precious to G‑d is the body of a Jew." There's a book called "10 Steps to Eat as a Jew: The Path Back to Gan Eden," that has a chapter about the greatness of the body. It also discusses how to rectify it in order to begin the revelation of it's true glory. The ultimate glory won't be revealed until after Moshiach comes.

Can I say this is a masterpiece even if I did work on it? Seriously though, the song is SOOO impactful, I can't stop listening, and the video takes this immensely powerful song to a whole new level!

I enjoyed your talk. However one point that troubled me is your justification for anger which seems to be contrary to many sources in Chazal notwithstanding the story you mentioned that occurred during the Holocaust. Nice stories are not sufficient to uproot multiple written sources in Chazal…..there is a difference between being Melamed Zchus on Klall Yisroel and making a general statement for the entire population…..
